I frequent this restaurant often and I'll say that traditionally it's a nice experience. However, my experience on December 30th was terrible. Our server was extremely unattentive once our food arrived. We were left for 20 minutes without her coming by to check on us. My spouse asked for Lemon butter sauce for his entree which never came and we were basically left to sit there and wait for our check until it was convenient for her. Eventually, I had to stand up and flag her down. We don't ask for the world, just some refills on our waters and you'll get your 20%. I understand that a large party was sat in your section 15 minutes after we arrived, and I understand that their bill will be larger, but guaranteed we come more often.. Super disappointed. Matt B. It has been a few years since I had been here, so I was excited to come back. I remember this restaurant being a top notch experience for both food and service. A bit on the expensive side, but worth it. Unfortunately it looks like things have changed. Was a Saturday night, but not too crowded, not a good sign. Unfortunately the service was slow and not very attentive - expected better! Finally the food was not great - I definitely expected better. I will say the restaurant still has great ambiance and looks great. Might go elsewhere next time.

Very good lobster and shrimp kisses. One of the best seafood restaurants around in Irvine area.

Dear McCormick's and Schmick's, I went in to your Restaurant on December 31st to have a glass of wine at the bar. The Red House Wine was so good! I looked at the menu and ordered asparagus, one of my favorite's, it was delicious, so I ordered the lobster. It was delicious too. It turned out to be a very good New Years. Delicious food, fantastic wine. All the bartenders were so professional. No rush, just fun and so good! Happy New Year 2019! Thank you so much! Elaine

Was really excited to try this spot out. My husband and I came to visit and sat at the bar. We waited for 15min and our waiter/ bartender looked at us but never came to take our order. So we left, very disappointed. Hope your experience is better then ours!

Went there on Christmas. Seated at an extremely cold and drafty corner. Freezing cold. Asked waiter to increase temperature. Got even colder and draftier after that.

This place is one of the most RACIST restaurants I have ever dined in - If your a minority and you ask for a table you will be seated in the back of the restaurant wether you make a reservation or not - You can visit this place during off hours and you will still end up in the back corner ( I have experienced it in Irvine, Pasadena and Sacramento) They will seat other non minorities in front of you and will will serve you stale wine - WTF??? - RACISTS!!!!

We stopped to have dinner at McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks on 2000 Main Street in Irvine. That is close to John Wayne Airport. I wanted to take my wife Diana to a upscale restaurant so we ate at this location. Carlos our server was super nice and friendly. He was very helpful in our ordering our meals. Carlos brought us some hot fresh bread & butter that had just been baked. Ohh so good! As an Appetizer I ordered two large cups of: New England Clam Chowder; Clams, potatoes, and bacon. That was the best clam chowder Diana and I ever had! For my Entrée: Seared Sea Scallops; Four large sea scallops with; small potatoes, corn, spinach, onion, and avocado sauce. That was crunchy outside and tender inside. A great combination of flavors. I ate more fresh bread with my meal. I drank a Diet Coke with my meal. Diana also had; The Sea Scallop Plate; Four large sea scallops that she also enjoyed. Diana drank a Diet Coke with her meal. For Dessert I had; The Chocolate Bag; Strawberries, blueberries, red raspberries, chocolate mousse, and topped with whipped cream. The chocolate bag was made of dark chocolate. It was delicious! Diana had; Chocolate Silk Pie; Chocolate mousse, with a chocolate crust. It was excellent. I thanked management for allowing me to take some photos. Then I walked outside and took one more photo. I left with a big smile on my face. I drove off to find my next review. Robert H.

Uptight crowd. If you ignore everyone else Waitresses and Bartenders are awesome. Food is on point and you will have fun if you play nice with server.

I was discriminated against!! I work across the street in one of those fancy corporate office buildings where they have CASUAL DRESS CODE. This means I can afford to eat here. The significance of this will be clear... Came here for happy hour by myself one evening to get the burger. I came in and didn't order alcohol because I don't drink alcohol. My waitress snubbed me for the rest of the meal. She smiled at everyone except me. When she finally checked on me she was ice cold. She wanted to treat me like the wallpaper. All the other servers looked me up and down and glared. I was wearing jeans and a long sleeved Express shirt. They didn't see the key card at my waist? If you don't drink and don't look like classic OC - old, white, rich, Christian, etc. then they don't want your business!! Go elsewhere!! In other news the food was good. Unbelievable!

Today I stopped in for Happy Hour because it was walking distance to my hotel. My experience at others have always been great. But today I order the truffle fries and this is what came out. The bottom of the barrel. All little pieces and fried hard. I'm applauded by this presentation.

Came here for their happy hour with some coworkers. Located in a business complex so you have to park in the garage. But they do validate here so thats good! Their happy hour menu had a great variety! I got the moscow mule, truffle fries, and their oysters rockafeller. All were very good! But the food did take a long time to come and the service was alright. My total bill came out to be around $15.

Seafood is consistently good here. The seared Ahi and Shrimp stuffed salmon are both great choices. We happened to go on a Monday night and there was a two lobster tail dinner special for 29.99, so a couple of people in our party ordered that. It came with Lobster mashed potatoes, which tasted like lobster bisque mixed into potatoes- and you can't go wrong with that. Only complaint was the that it wasn't all that much food (even with a salad) so not a great choice for the big eaters out there! Service was very good and not too crowded, which is always a plus. Only negative was that they charged $1.75 for refills on their $4.00 iced tea and Arnold Palmers which is UNHEARD of and a huge pet peeve of mine... so very tacky....

We arrived with a group of 5. We started off with the soups. We couldn't decide on the clam chowder or the Lobster bisque. The waitress suggested that we order the bisque and that we would bring out a sample of the chowder. The chowder was good but the bisque was amazing. So creamy and smooth. It was full of lobster and delicious croutons. We ordered the shrimp kisses. They are bacon wrapped shrimp with a piece of pepper jack cheese. They were delicious. All of the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place and will be back.
