Sushi quality was worth the price. Rolls were fine but i would recommend sushi (yellow tail). Service was good and ingredients were fresh. Have to fight for a parking space in Irvine sprctrum in weekends.?‍?

Rats, Rats, Rats everywhere. Only one star because we saw rats. We ask one of the employees and he said that they have a big problem with rats. Of course we won't go there anymore.

One of my top meals of 2024 so far, and this will be hard to beat! Lovely staff and the best service here. It’s closest to park near the Apple Store at the Spectrum.Started off with the Scallop crudo, this was so refreshing and delightfully spicy, and the scallops were huge too!The Squid ink uni pasta was calling my name, and this was so creamy and delicious. For rolls, we got the Sashimi roll which was my absolute favorite here, and the Volcano roll which is literally lit on fire!Had to end the perfect meal on a sweet note with winter-only seasonal Yuzu flan. Thanks for reading! ^-^

During my business trip last month on 11/30, I had lunch with a total charge of $77.58, including a $11.00 tip. However, upon returning home, I discovered that the tip had been altered to $15.84. The server's name is Mark, and I have never had this kind of experience at any other restaurant. Be careful when you visit this restaurant.

One of our favorite Japanese restaurants in the area. Consistency is key. The service and food is always good. The space is comfortable and clean. We love to come here regularly.Vegetarian options: Mushroom salad is my favorite vegetarian item on the menu. Portion is huge and it is delicious.

This is kinda 4.5 territory. The service and the general vibe are great. We had a few different rolls, 2 out of 3 were great, the Volcano tastes pretty decent but the fire over-cooked it a bit. The Vegetable Tempura was pretty bland.

Perfect stop at the spectrum for delicious cocktails and Japanese bites.Been here twice and I would say the bar is the way to go. Each time we came on a whim and there was a wait to be seated but not for sitting at the bar.The bartender is attentive in getting multiple orders, getting plates cleared, and refilling drinks. The signature cocktails are all well-crafted and provide something for everyone or every mood. They have Japanese-inspired riffs of classic cocktails like the Margarita (La Patrona Japonesa), Martini (Osaka Vesper), Manhattan (Hitori & Bitter), Mai Tai (Tomo on Vacation), and Midori Sour (Yudori Sour). We tried all of these and they're all delicious. The food also has a personal touch and elegant presentation. To start, my girlfriend and I love Spicy Garlic Edamame and we are constantly searching for the best. Our favorite is from Kopan Ramen and the spicy garlic edamame they make here is very similar. The spicy tuna crispy rice here displays an aesthetically pleasing big smooth ball of spicy tuna and they get the texture of the crispy rice perfect too.Even something as basic as their Sashimi impressed me with its surprisingly delicious pairing of pickled onion. The decor is filled with creative Japanese art like the hanging sake lamps or the wave plate mural. The restaurant provides a versatile experience that makes it great for tons of occasions: dates, hangouts, solo, etc. - just not your AYCE sushi with the hungry boys.Overall, the menu and service have been enjoyable and I look forward to many more visits as I make my way through the menu.

Went here on a Monday evening so it was empty but that made service great. Not sure how it is on other days/nights but the server was attentive and we were well taken care of. Loved the decor in the restaurant. Really gives it a modern upscale but also casual look so you can come here for lunch without feeling like this is a dinner only place. We ordered a few appetizers to start off: Salmon Truffle Carpaccio, Japanese Scallop Crudo, and the Hamachi Kama. Each dish was larger than we expected so we definitely ordered more food than we should have. All of the seafood tasted fresh and were delicious. Surprisingly, truffle does work with salmon sashimi. It's a light hit of the truffle shavings so it's not overpowering the salmon at all. Scallops were well balanced but it could be spicy for some so if you're not a fan of spicy or can't eat spicy you can always pick off the jalapeños. Hamachi Kama was a decent size, definitely could feed two if you're only ordering it as an appetizer but if it's just for yourself, definitely pair it with rice or miso since it can be filling. For the main plates, we ordered the Sukiyaki Beef Udon, Deluxe Chirashi Don, and Spicy Yellowtail Tataki. Each dish was tasty. I thought the udon was on the sweeter side so I wasn't a fan of it. The Yellowtail sushi was great. The Chirashi Don came with a lot of food and it was all fresh. I did the get to try it since it wasn't a dish I ordered. We also had the green tea and vanilla mochi ice cream for dessert. The green tea was great, very smooth. The vanilla, however, tasted powdery. I wasn't a fan of it.Overall, we had a great experience here.

A cross between causal and fancy, that holds true for both their ambiance, interior, food and pricing. Robata Wasa is located right on the corner of the Apple Store and Target at the Irvine Spectrum. Huge plus for parking because you have plenty of outdoor lot parking with direct access to the restaurant. You also have a round about directly in front of you need to be dropped off or picked up. I came here with a friend after a workout class at the spectrum, so needless to say we were dressed as we were and sweaty on top of it. The interior of Robata gives a fancier aesthetic but, not so fancy we felt uncomfortable dining in. The menu pricing is mid to high, you're getting good quality ingredients but in smaller portions. We ordered a variety of shareable items and a roll but, the star of the show was their salmon skin salad. Not only delicious but the portion size was so generous. Now as simple as it was (truly it's spring mix, salmon skin, and housemate dressing) it was so good.We also paired our meal with their house sake and it was very smooth! Overall, loved our experience, food was fresh, service was good, hostess was pleasant. They also accept Apple Pay (seems this is hit or miss at a lot of restaurants now)If you're at or near Irvine spectrum, check out Robata Wasa for your sushi fix!

Everything from the bento boxes to the calamari and rolls are delicious here, and there's always great service as well. The bathrooms are clean, and I've never personally had to wait for a table.
