I visited this place for the first time after my friend recommended it, and I found it to be a great choice. Upon arrival, I noticed that the restaurant is very family-oriented, with groups of people coming in together. The food was delicious, and the service was good, even though it was after 7:40 PM.

I frequent Tang190 almost every weekend. The atmosphere is wonderful with plenty of outdoor seating. The small and friendly establishment have a wonderful staff that accommodate mine and my sons tastes.

I often order the Cabbage Galbi Tang - a perfectly spiced and salted dish that full of flavor and generous portion of beef.

The side dishes are plentiful with generous refills.

Tang 190 has the best of both worlds - classic, authentic Korean food served in a modern, clean restaurant. I sometimes feel like it’s one or the other, but they nailed it. They also have really great service. I was really impressed with the galbi tang here. The radish kimchi (kkakdoogee) was AMAZING. So crunchy and well fermented. The galbi tang is the closest flavor I’ve had to galbi tang in Korea. Rich beef flavor, fall apart tender beef ribs, and the broth just wraps you like a warm hug. Very nostalgic flavor for me. Delicious!

Came across Tang 190 in this plaza that has everything and plenty of parking! They have this nice outdoor patio, but I sat inside and was really impressed by the interior. Spacious with this modern-retro vibe! The staff were fast and friendly.

Me and my friends ordered quite a feast with makgeolli: Bossam (Pork & Kimchi Wrap Platter), Rice Cake & Dumplings Soup, Gamjatang, Spicy Chilled Noodle, and Seafood Green Onion Pancake. Everything tasted good, but I especially loved the bossam and spicy chilled noodles!!!

The place is super clean and perfect for casual Korean food with a group.

Very rude service. I usually only leave 5 star reviews because I like to be a positive force in the world but in this case I can’t help but share how bad the service was. The server literally rolled her eyes and walked away when i asked if we could have water AND hot tea. Was this not allowed? If so that could be communicated. It hasn’t been a problem at other Korean restaurants. Not to mention that she made no effort to conceal her impatient and annoyed face as my family made our orders at 4:15pm with just a few other patrons. We order quickly and know what we want but we didn’t say it military style enough for her I guess. Why would I pay to 20-30$ a plate + tip for this? Go to H-mart 5 mins away and save the money for more options and better service. Just go anywhere else. The quality isn’t what it used to be. I’m told I’m usually waaay too nice and give people 5 times the benefit of the doubt that they deserve. I also understand Korean language and the nuances of the culture and mannerisms. But this was so flagrantly awful. And this when tipping culture is already out of control.

We left (I never do this), and went to BCD tofu house. 10 times the traffic and they manage far better service and food.

It’s always the small mom-and-pop shops like this one that are serving up lowkey amazing Korean comfort food with the most caring service too.

The cabbage in the galbi-tang soaked up that delicious broth and was a crowd favorite, but what really got me going was this gigantic galbi bibimbap. The trick is to wait for the rice on the bottom to get a little scorched from the stone pot, then mix it all up for maximum texture.

And ginseng chicken soup with an entire half chicken that was fall-apart tender and would literally cure a sick person INSTANTLY.

Thanks for reading! ^-^

Small and busy Korean restaurant inside a shopping plaza off Jeffrey. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of parking is available via the shared plaza parking lot.

No wait-time as we came right as they opened but their menu is small, prices are on the higher side, and service is not friendly - our waitress kept rushing us and seemed upset when we requested more banchan (small side dishes included with your main meals). Food was good but nothing incredible. My tendon soup was very, very bland.

Felt overrated and guess what, they charge you extra $$$ if you choose to pay by credit card. Something I didn't notice until after I paid 😔

My boyfriend's family are old customers to this restaurant. They really loves this place that they couldn't stop talking about how good the soup and the appetizers are!

We drove a long way to visit. I totally agree that the appetizers are the best out of all the Korean restaurants I have been in life so far. They ordered the beef soup and I tried the ginseng chicken.

The beef soup I thought it was pretty decent, but my boyfriend's family said the meat portion was way less than what it was years ago. Which the portion wasn't very satisfying for them.

As for my ginseng chicken, I couldn't taste any ginseng at all from the soup, nor did I see any ginseng in the soup. It was more like a Korean clean chicken broth soup rather than ginseng chicken soup. I have had better in Vancouver, B.C..

Appetizers were a 5 star, ginseng soup was a near 2 to 3 star for me. Beef soup as a first timer, it's a 4 to 5.
