Wagyu Meat and Grill is a family-owned teriyaki grill and fresh meat market specializing in top quality Wagyu beef bowls and plates. At the time of this review, they have 2 locations in Irvine and another in Buena Park. We visited their location off Irvine Center Drive near Sand Canyon Avenue. It can be found nestled in a strip mall between Bay Poke and Grater Grilled Cheese. Their website mentions "superior service", but IMO the staff was friendly enough but I wouldn't say they went above and beyond to ensure a quality dining experience. I ordered the Wagyu Moco because I can't resist a good loco moco. I'm a big eater, so I appreciated the size of the wagyu patty topped with an egg. The side of rice, mac salad and cole slaw served to complement what turned out to be a hearty meal. All in all, it was a good deal for the price and I would be willing to try again in the future.

Went here for dinner the other day & me and my husband both got beef bowls to go! These usually come with meat and rice and one side salad (kale or coleslaw)- you can substitute Mac salad or get 1/2 Mac salad 1/2 other salad but you pay the full Mac salad side fee. Breakdown: (Place) The place itself isn't one where you'd want to stay and eat, take-out ambience for sure. (Menu) Honestly really not helpful at all. The difference between Bowls & Plates isn't explained, side options aren't listed and the prices for those isn't listed either. They have a burger and maybe some other stuff but it isn't even on their menu. (Food) Pretty good! Very Flame-broiler-esque but with a more Hawaiian twist (I know it's Korean but with the sauce & Mac salad it feels pretty Hawaiian). We were both satisfied with the bowls it was plenty of food! The rice and sauce was good too. Pretty par for the course for what it is, not amazing but good.

$60 for 5 lbs of kalbi is a good deal. It was delicious. The main plates are amazing too

The food here is great! Definitely fresh and better quality than other comparable places, so if you're looking for a relatively quick, healthy, and tasty option this is it. They also sell various cuts of meat like bulgogi, LA ribs, and ribeye, and you can notice the quality there, too. Price is actually pretty good for what you get, and they taste better than what you can get from the local Asian supermarket. Service has always been good, and the staff is friendly.

Visited here for a work lunch. I was thoroughly impressed and pleased at how excellent this meal was. I got the beef bowl with fried egg, white rice, and kale salad. Astonishing! My plate was the envy of the table, as we all went to different spots and sat together outside.

Great food and quick and fantastic service. I got the combo plate with beef and chicken and was completely stuffed after. The two salad choices complimented the meat nicely. Definitely will be visiting again as it was a perfect after-gym meal.

The quality of the meat here is by far the best of any teriyaki place. Super tasty and very flavorful. Perfect spot for a quick lunch are there is plenty of seating in their common area. Will be back!

Great food. Great service. I came in on a Wednesday around 2 and dined in. The girl who took my order was very nice and informative about options - and continued to be with the next 10ish people that walked in to order as I sat and ate my meal. I ordered a beef / breast combo plate with a fried egg which was very good. I loved the kale and cabbage salad which had just the right amount of dressing, and the meat was excellent. The chicken breast was very good as was the brown rice. Unlike some other teriyaki spots, they didn't drown the meat in sugary sauce which I liked. The restaurant was clean. I'd recommend.

The food was absolutely wonderful. you can taste the freshness. i got the chicken breast plate w double white rice (i ordered brown) and macaroni salad. the chicken was cooked perfectly and it was flavorful! do yourself a favor and bring in new staff. the person you took my order was not welcoming at all & it felt like she had better things to do mind you i was the only customer in the store (at that moment) please, a small change can go a long way.

I got the wagyu beef plate but the beef seemed overcooked and a bit burnt. The salad and avocado was however very fresh.

Either I came on an off day or maybe I just don't get why this place has so many high reviews. Wagyu Meat & Grill reminds me of a place you'd find in a typical mall food court. The food is pretty basic - grilled protein, rice and a side of cabbage slaw. I got the chicken, which was fine. It comes without any sauce and you need that sauce to make it more flavorful. The cabbage slaw was downright weird tasting. The dressing is really odd and the cabbage is way too bitter on its own. For the around same price point, I'd rather go to Cava, The Kebab Shop or Sajj Mediterranean (which is in the same mall).

Tried this place the other day and was pleasantly surprised!. Their food was delicious! Ingredients are high quality and very fresh. They are located near HiroNori Ramen in the plaza. We ordered the combo plate with wagyu beef and chicken and kale and macaroni sides, and also tried their Kalbi plate. The meat was very flavorful and tender - the Kalbi was one of the best I have tasted in a long time. The kale was very fresh and complimented the entree very well. Their macaroni was also very good! Unlike other places that load their food with msg/sodium, causing tremendous thirst after, I did not have this problem after eating from this place. Their online ordering was very easy and food was ready as promised. Highly recommend this place and will be returning to try their other items. They are also a butcher shop and sell different raw meats for cooking at home.
