“Flavor of India is the final oasis of authentic Indian food before you have to traipse into Indian-food-desert-wasteland that is the Santa Ynez Valley.

The guys are amazingly friendly, and the food is just plain ol’ and excellent quality North Indian deliciousness. Get your chicken tikka masala, your garlic naan, and a side of jasmine rice to go on your way up to the valley. A “mild” is fine for the little ones, and a “spicy” will put a smile on your face. Order two to reheat another tomorrow.“

“Masala Spice SB is our new favorite Indian restaurant in Santa Barbara. The extensive menu is creative with plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The service was impeccable with our server being well versed in the menu. The food was authentic, creative, delicious and fun. I appreciate that people from India were working there, as well as eating there as customers. In the past, this location was a totally different restaurant which was devoid of ambiance and felt like a concrete warehouse. The current owners have done a great job to make it feel more welcoming and comfortable. My husband and I will definitely be returning to Masala Spice SB.“

“Christmas Eve lunch buffet had an excellent selection, but like most buffets the food started tasting the same. Naan bread was not made readily available with buffet food. If the restaurant is planning to close at 2:30pm, they should stop taking reservations at 1:30pm and not take them all the way to 2:30pm. My mistake was to make reservations for 2:00pm and only had a rushed 30 min timeframe to eat before the buffet + dessert + tea was removed.“
