Only reason I'm holding back a star is that it took some time to get a menu. They aren't handed out when seated. That, however, was my only lament. The ambience was nice, upscale. Piano player in the corner was a nice touch. We had a booth, so romantic. We actually could hear ourselves talk. Our server, Paloma, very sweet and knowledgeable. We decided to split a Rib eye/lobster dinner and a salad, which was plenty for the both of us. The salad, simple, lightly dressed in a vinaigrette that was so subtle, it enhanced the greens, leaving you craving another bite. The platter came with a huge rib eye, nice size lobster tail, asparagus, blistered cherry tomatoes, and a smattering of mashed potatoes that we almost missed as they were under the asparagus. It came with a cherry bourbon glaze, very different from anything I've had to accompany a steak, it was divine! Everything cooked to perfection. The highlight for me, was that amazing wine list. They carried a sparkling wine that is hard to find, Iron Horse, which has always been one of my favorites. We were fortunate to get the last bottle. I was so excited! I enjoyed every last sip. Too full to enjoy dessert, husband had a coffee with Bailey's. He was happy. Looking forward to coming back to try the seafood. (and to give it another star!) Very nice place for a date night, special occasion.

The food was delicious! My favorite was the fried lobster tails. The crab was decent. The snow crab was great but the Alaskan seemed really watery. The desserts weren't that great but who goes to a seafood Buffett for that lol

Waitress and staff were amazing. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to par. Lacked flavor and my girlfriend's lobster came out cold. But the manager took care of the bill for us. So we are grateful.

I went for a special Valentine's dinner. The appetizer and salad were very good but the rest of the meal was mediocre at best. I ordered the lobster with beef Wellington, medium rare. It was delivered well done. Drinks were very slow in coming. The Bellinis we ordered before the meal were made with either sparkling wine and peach schnapps or flavored champagne, NOT with peach puree. Although our waiter, Alex, was very cordial, it was obvious there was just not enough staff. The courses always arrived before the previous plates had even been cleared--not what I expect for fine dinning.

We planned on going to Jamul for a change of pace, but the Steakhouse was the primary reason we picked it over Sycuan. We were running a bit late, but we were still seated and received outstanding service. We started with a few drinks and an appetizer. They were out of calamari so they doubled our lollipop chicken order for free. The chicken was sooo tender and caramelized that it could serve as it own main in any meal. As for the food. I went with the 12 oz lamb chops, that were perfectly cooked. The crust was just right and the meat was so flavorful. I could have done without the accompanying sides and went simple with mash potatoes. It was all flavorful, just busy. My gf went with the Waygu Bolognese and it was outstanding. The portion size allowed for some leftovers and it was even better the next day. Her mom and mom's bf had the 8 oz filet and shared asparagus and mashed potatoes. They raved about how fluffy and delicious the potatoes were. Their steaks were cooked to perfection and it was a fantastic dinner with no complaints. I will be back to this spot and the casino will be an added bonus.

My husband and I reserved here two weeks ago and the reservation was so easy, we were craving for some lobsters and good thing we saw their advertising in one newspaper. The lobster were so good, juicy and tasty. The kobsters can be fried or steamed, both are delicious. We also liked some other dishes like Seafood Pasta, the shrimp , steak and oysters were fantastic. They also had dessert. The amount we paid was worth it. The servers were so attentive and reachable.

Janna did a great job taking care of us! We would love to have this server in the future. She was personable and professional. The food was awesome! We will definitely be back to this location in the near future.

We've dined there previously but this time the food was not as good. All 4 of us were disappointed with the food. I had the lamb chops and although they were cooked nicely, they lacked flavor and the side that came with it was odd. The service was also slow. My plate came out about 5 minutes after everyone else's. Not sure i will return.

The food and service at Prime Cut was absolutely superb. The staff was perhaps the friendliest of any similar venue in San Diego; and is in perfect concert with the overall superior quality of the dining experience. I personally rank Jamul Casino's Prime Cut Restaurant as Number One dining venue in San Diego.

We enjoy this steakhouse very much and we've always had great experiences. The waiters are very friendly and knowledgeable and I can't say enough about Scott at the bar. He's the best. The only reason I rated a four was unfortunately one of the staff accidentally spilled a whole craft of Cold water on one of us. They were very apologetic, and they did comp us part of our bill. This is in no way complaint it's just that it would've been a perfect evening otherwise.

Waitress was inattentive and would disappear for long periods of time and we couldn't get her attention to receive service. We were seated at 6 pm and didn't complete meal until 3 1/2 hrs later due to prolonged periods of not having service from her!

My husband & I are started off our month long celebration of 30 years of marriage. Our first restaurant was Prime Cut. It was perfect. The food, the service, our seating. We made reservations so there was no waiting to get seated. Everyone was so kind, prompt, easy going. Our food choices were delicious. The decadent mini (not so mini) cake from our server was a wonderful cap to the dinner. Thank you for a delicious/wonderful start to our celebration month.

Server was very helpful. The steaks were amazing, so tender and I don't think we needed sauces because both steaks were seasoned to perfection. Shrimp cocktail presented in a very delightful way. Sides were all awesome and also seasoned to perfection. Dessert choices were very over the top too. I would highly recommend an evening at this lovely restaurant.
