My wife and I did a one day getaway. And it was the most romantic, peaceful, serene and high end dining experience for our 24 hour vacation. The lodge is perfect for a couple that wants to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze. You truly do get to see where the river meets the ocean. Stayed 2 nights in the Headlands House. Absolutely incredible place with Great views of river and ocean. We saw two bald eagles flying around both days.
We also ate dinner at the restaurant. Elk rare was great, girlfriends loved the Passat and prawns, but the duck confit eggs were were the best thing we had.
Would and will stay and eat here again.

This is literally one of the finest dining experiences in Sonoma County. They should have at least 2 Michelin Stars. The sunset on the deck is breathtaking. Bert and his staff making the experience perfect. And don't drive home, stay in one of their amazingly perfect cabins or houses on the water. It is well worth the journey.
