High quality excellent food - we had scampi and beef stroganoff which were both delicious. Do make reservations as they do fill up.

We have not made it in since the new owners, but so glad we finally did. My husband and I came in at 5:15. I cannot remember our servers name mostly because I was distracted by her smile. We sat at the table directly outside of the kitchen if that’s helpful at all. She was such a gem and was so positive. If she was flustered, you wouldn’t have known it. We started with the bruschetta duo, my husband was more of a fan than I am, but only because fancier type foods aren’t really my thing. I do miss the spinach artichoke dip though! My husband got the prime rib special and dubbed it as “the meal of the year.” I got the filet mignon, well done, and I have never had steak more tender or perfectly cooked in my life! We both had the au gratin potatoes which were deliciously homemade and for dessert he had the tuxedo chocolate cake while I opted for the mint ice cream in an almond crisp cup thing, absolutely phenomenal. My margarita was eh, that being said I prefer a sweeter one, and they are not shy with the alcohol which is not a bad thing for most people. Definitely recommend trying this before they close for the season.

We were visiting from out of state for a family reunion. My husband’s family had gone there for years. When we arrived we were told to wait for the hostess (found out her name was Marci). She seated us in the worst place right outside the kitchen. We asked very nicely if we could be seated in a different location where there were lots of tables empty. She very rudely said no they were reserved. We were stuck with this horrible table, noisy, distractions from coming and going from the kitchen. All evening no one sat at these much more pleasant tables. Our server #11 was fantastic but their unwelcoming hostess needs to learn customer service and improve her attitude.

Our family was visiting the Graeagle area and decided to give the Iron Door in Johnsville a try based on its excellent reviews. Wow! It did not disappoint. All the entrees ordered were excellent, but the Chicken Marcella and Pork Shank were outstanding. I would have to say that the Chicken Marsella was the best I have ever eaten. And the deserts were to die for especially the Berry Cobler and the Ice Cream with a Bourbon sauce.'The service was also excellent, with and we were well taken care of by our waitress, Kate. We will definitely be back.

We dined there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A nice bottle of wine, amazing crabcakes as an appetizer. We both had Prime Rib. The dessert was great as well.Reservations highly recommended.

This place used to be a favorite but it appears they changed the menu, quality and amount of food. It was a big disappointment. We did hear there was an ownership change. The new owners should have stuck with the original quality and menu that was offered. You can only survive off a reputation for so long! We won’t be going back.

I ordered the short rib cataloni expecting a 5 star experience I received 2 tamales 8" inches long by 1" wide with some shredded Beef in the middle 6 asparagus 2" long for $30. Very disappointed. My wife did have the salmon for her five star meal.
