Really nice outside area and the storefront itself is super small so it’s very crowded and packed fyi. I wanted to try both pie places because of all the hype. To be honest, both are equally good in my opinion. My favorite thing about Julian Pie Company was the cinnamon ice cream, it was perfection with the apple pie. The price was a bit more expensive than Mom’s apple pies- so keep that in mind. We also bought an apple cider from the fridge that ended up being $8 lol. Overall,...
Always a pleasure grabbing a slice of pie from here. You can’t go wrong with the Dutch apple pie, and be sure to ‘dine in’ so your slice comes to you heated up. It’s wonderful. You can add toppings like whipped cream or go for a la mode, but even just a place slice of pie is a treat here. The staff are friendly and the dining room is always clean. Haven’t been disappointed yet in all the times I’ve visited.
Last year, during a long weekend in Julian, CA, we stopped by the famous Julian Pie Company. We ordered the apple pie with ice cream, and the kids absolutely loved it.
Many people waited in line when we arrived, highlighting the popularity of this spot. Expect huge crowds, but it's worth the wait for a delicious treat. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Julian.
