I sometimes stay the night in Julian just to have the pizza for dinner. Sooooooo good. Really the best in Sand Diego county in my opinion. The establishment is quaint and the music always adds to the atmosphere. Services has always been great!

Popped in with our two teen daughters on a “appetizer and cocktail/mocktail” crawl in the gas lamp (don’t knock our parenting style until you’ve tried your own appetizer cocktail/mocktail crawl with your tweens). We hopped in when we saw their menu and found a few items we liked. Maria was our phenomenal waitress and recommended a few appetizers to us. She nailed her selections. We had the ricotta/honey pair bruschetta (it was so good I took a picture annd I’m hoping to recreate at home, wish me luck) and the pesto raviolis. The food was hands down a 10/10. Maria was so sweet, helpful and accommodating. We also ordered wine, prosecco and Shirley temples for our kids. We will absolutely be returning again! If you want delicious Italian food, Great service and a nice ambiance our family highly recommends it here!

My husband and I love to visit Julian and last night I had the delight of eating at Romano's. I ordered their Chicken Piccota and I got to say that it's hands down the BEST Italian entree I've ever eaten in my life! The garlic butter capers were freaking INCREDIBLE... We're definitely coming back!

Our group had a variety of dishes, and all did not disappoint. My wife had the pasta primavera, and she enjoyed the vegetables in the dish. My friend had a massive meatball sandwich, and I was fortunate enough to dine on a perfectly made veal parmesan. The rustic decor and background music made us all feel welcome. Our server was excellent and very friendly. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

The food here was incredible, and the service was even better. My husband and I dined here for our fifth anniversary yesterday. I forgot the server’s name, but she was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place to anybody staying in Julian.

Meatballs remind me of my noni's. Was a bit warm but otherwise good.
My fiancé and I went here after touring our wedding venue in Julian. The food was so amazing we decided to have them cater for our wedding come up. My favorite food is pesto pasta and they had the best one I have ever tried (I don't live in the area and crave it all the time). The restaurant has a nice environment that works perfectly for date night, family dinners, or just a casual meal. I gave the service 4 stars only because they can get a bit busy, but the staff is still attentive and friendly.

This place is a real treat. A true Sicilian restaurant hidden in the back streets of downtown Julian. The place is small with just a few tables scrunched together and a small bar area. However, the Caesar salad was absolutely hands down the best I have ever had!! And the meatballs are old world style made in house (almost the size of softballs). I did not however like the meat lovers pizza as the sausage tasted odd and it was way too greasy. If I try the pizza again, I will probably try pepperoni. This place is definitely worth the trip!!
