Solid lil spot, the outside seating is fine, benches are a benches, so they're not really comfortable.
Great service and folks, food was solid, great breakfast food for sure. Well priced, cute plants!

What I expected? Artisan crafted soup and sandwiches from scratch. What I got; What appeared to be a pre-frozen patty like a bubba burger and a sort of chicken curry bisque that tasted, looked and had exactly the same texture as deli-bought at the grocery store. My wife actually went to buy some to make sure. The food was priced to the absolute maximum of even tourist tolerance. A little under $20 for a tiny bowl of soup and half a BLT? Sorry guys. That's simply too much for what you are offering. I left hungrier than I arrived and was very disappointed. To their credit, the burger was cooked to perection. The cheese was pepper jack, but tasteless. There was absolutely no seasoning I could taste. It's very obvious this place used to have pride and passion in their food and something happened to cause cutting corners to save cost and a lack of effort of the cooking staff. The lights were all off and the atmosphere was dark. The staff were very kind but we had three different waitresses.Recommendations: turn on the fans. Turn on a few lights. Brighten the place up a bit. Picnic table cloths might add to the ambiance you are trying to go for.Get someone in there with some prid and passion in food service and put the young man currently in there on dish duty for awhile. Stop sourcing your food from frozen subscription. If I'm wrong, it would be nice if the burgers weren't blatantly cut in a circle. I shouldn't be able to see that my burger is a perfect circle with flat sides. Try locally sourced?Salt and pepper never killed anyone. The fries were on point but looked and tasted exactly like Costco bought steak fries with no seasoning whatsoever.Soup portions could definitely use some upscale. If I ran the place there would be a soup and salad buffet.I'm happy to pay your steep tourist prices if I'm getting what you actually say you offer. But I should never have to deal with blatantly pre-frozen food when you are claiming it's fresh and made from scratch.

Has great lunch combos! I got the soup&salad with Thai chicken soup (mildly spicy with amazing flavor, I drank every drop) and the house salad (very fresh!). Mom got the curry chicken 1/2 sandwich on wheat (rich complex flavors, perfect amount of crunch) and the corn chowder (lots of flavor but not too heavy). The iced coffee is made with frozen coffee cubes !! Unusual and nice selection of hot tea, served by the teapot. They have healthy options and vegetarian options.Clean bathrooms, friendly atmosphere. Perfect temperature in here. Waitress help accommodate a disability.Food and drinks came fast.
Vegetarian options: Soup and salad options for vegetarians.

My family and I had lunch here over the weekend. I had a simple club sandwich and it was really good. My husband had the French onion soup and 1/2 a BLT. The French onion soup was amazing.I'm from a very small town on the east coast and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. It felt like home.

Our favorite place to stop to eat in Julian - and that’s saying something since there is an abundance of yummy food! The food here is fresh and delicious with a cozy homey atmosphere. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered here and I particularly recommend the corn chowder and green harvest soup!
