What a great surprise, if I lived closer I would be 15 pounds heavier. It smelled soooo good there, friendly people. The tacos and empanadas were top notch. I will definitely stop by when I’m back in the area

Absolutely killer baked goods and Mex food. I'm from San Diego, I've grown up with Mex food my entire life and consider myself spoiled and picky with my food. Castro's mex food is outstanding. Fresh house made tortillas and fresh ingredients. One of the best meals I've ever had. This place is a must go if you're passing through, I'm so happy I decided to give them a try. I also got their sugar and cinnamon donuts as well, which we're also fantastic. Next time I come here I'll be trying more baked goods! Castro's, please consider opening up another bakery in San Diego California, this bake shop/Mex food combo would kill it in our city. Cheers!

Oh my gosh! This place is a 10/10! We’re traveling from San Diego and wish there was a location down there! Best doughnut I’ve ever had and the breakfast burrito with a fresh tortilla was outstanding!

Honestly… wasn’t expecting this place to be that freaking good. We ordered tacos and a torta with various meats such as tripas, carnitas, and asada. Each meat had its own distinct flavor and was delicious made. The tortillas and bread tasted and looked like they were also made in house. Authentic flavors and amazing service. Definitely coming back the next time I’m in town. Thank you for the great and delicious experience!

Great place local mom and pop spot not to much to it but food and baked goods 👌.
This place is so delicious, its ruined my tastebuds for all others! Scratch kitchen.
Chilies Relleno, Bacon breakfast burrito and awesome rice and beans.
I visited at 6:30 AM on a Monday morning, a bit frustrated because the Denny’s in town said it would be open on Google but wasn’t.
Castro’s was warm, inviting, friendly and delicious.
I enjoyed the mini cheesecake pastry, a breakfast burrito and a coffee for $14, plus $3 tip.
I like this place a lot.

The concha’s here are SOOO good and fresh. I made a trip to Castro’s Bakery today specifically to see the Lucha Libre mural. I live quite a ways south of King City and wanted to check it out. My husband and I ended up getting a bag full of deliciousness. So so worth the trip there, which I will be doing again for sure.

Today Wednesday morning I passed by to get a bread see that they had tamales. I bought one they were so good when I say good it’s good. I have tried tamales all over King City , greenfield ,Soledad - castros bakery has the best tamales Great taste a lot of meat the flavor was very GOOD ( a must try ) buy two instead of one. They’re pretty big, but they’re so good, that one is not enough

Great pastries here fresh for the day, got a strawberry and cheese croissant for $2.50. Enjoyed so much we came back for a breakfast burrito the next day. Got one each of bacon and chorizo ($9.95 each) and these were loaded and had excellent fresh tortillas. Coffee was fresh but not as strong as our liking
