Staff was alright, some were friendly some were not. The hours of operation is not always accurate. It states breakfast till 10am but staff by 9:30am start telling you it's take out only and they are shooting down for lunch/dinner. Very confusing as I eat there the day before and served/seated people till 9:50am. Food was great, well proportioned, fresh.

The pork chop taste good and portion is good too. Waitress is polite and nice. Price is reasonable.

We ordered the bbq chicken pizza & buffalo chicken pizza, and both were pretty good. A pretty decent food spot (in the standards of national park restaurants in general), with clean public restrooms and water refill stations.

However, the service was VERY slow. We had to wait for ~40min literally for two pizzas. I don’t blame the staff, they were doing their best & seemed overwhelmed with the work, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. When visiting a national park, I presume everyone has a packed schedule & has lots of plans for the day. Wasting ~40min in the middle of such a day just waiting for food to arrive, is super annoying.

The food is OK, but it took so, so long. It's the only place to eat for miles, but honestly driving out to another spot might not even be slower. Got lunch to go, waited 40 minutes and went to check. Turns out it was ready in the kitchen but they just never brought it out.

Came back for dinner, thinking if we dine in it wouldn't be forgotten in a bag in the kitchen. Nope, it took almost an hour before the food arrived. The front of house staff are all nice, but the kitchen seriously needs to step up. Do NOT come here with a hungry kid.

It’s nice there’s somewhere out here to get something to eat. But holy hell the service is terrible. Jewel at the front didn’t seem to give a flip about anything. We clearly were ready to be helped, had spoken with her moments before about putting in a takeout order, and for the next 10 minutes after we put our menus down and stood there waiting to put in an order she just leisurely walked back and forth from the front register processing checks. Restaurant was about 1/4 full. The man with the pony tail that brought us our food was very nice and seemed to be trying.

The food was alright. Honestly had a lot worse at a national park, zoo, whatever.

They have a monopoly on the site and it’s probably difficult to get people to reliably work out here… but have some kind of pride in the service you offer to people visiting our sacred and treasured places.

**THE MENU IS NOT WHAT IS SHOWN IN A LOT OF THE OLDER PHOTOS**, limited to just the dinner menu minus entrees around noon, and then served only the entrees section of that page in the evening. As far as I am aware.

Yeah, no! I never and I mean never leave a restaurant a 1 star review but this food is just awful.
The service is slow which doesn't bother me on vacation in a place like this l, so no stars deducted.

We went here 2 nights in a row and had the same waitress. She was really nice and did her job very well, so no stars deducted for the service. The food however .. think hospital cafeteria food that has sat out for several days and that's about what you get. We tried it two times to give the benefit of the doubt but the food is just bad.

We ate here 2 night in a row while visiting Kings Canyon National Park. The first night we were seated promptly and service was quick. However, there were very few beverage options. No iced tea, no sodas. Only water, beer and wine. Food—I had the salmon which was very good but came with plain white rice which was cold and had no flavor at all. Hubby had meatloaf and said it was good. We returned the next night at 7:10 pm and were seated by 7:30. We weren’t waited on for at least 30-45 min. Once our waiter appeared, sweating and less than cordial, we ordered drinks and food all at the same time. At 8:30 we finally got our drinks. Up until that point, we weren’t even given water. In fact, we were never offered water the entire evening. We waited another 15 minutes before we got our food. The only thing going for this restaurant is that the food, once you get it, is good. Seeing as there are no other dining options for miles, the US PARK SERVICE needs to do better.

Prices aren’t terrible but it really shouldn’t take almost 30 minutes to get a burger.

Sandwich for 14, wrap for 16, and a guy who doesn’t really care about anything, and tells he is not getting paid for this.

Absolutely ridiculous waiting time. Workers are not trained well. Self service machines are dead. The line is long.

I don’t know if they are just lazy or this is just ok for them. There is a big line over here now. The person at the counter is walking back and forth with no work. The two self check out screens are dead. The person is just walking without taking orders. A lot of people in the line just want to order take out.

This place sucks, the food is ready bad. They are severely understaffed, I had to wait 30 minutes to just get my drink and there was only 7 other people in the restaurant. The food is really bad and stail. I wouldn't go here if I didn't have to.

The food is fair-to-good and portions meet the needs of a hungry hiker. The waitstaff work hard but seemed understaffed, especially for a weekend. There was no real guidance as you walk in, especially at breakfast where you ordered on a screen as you entered and this caused confusion and frustration for first timers.
