7800 Bar & Grill is exactly the kind of place you hope to find in a local spot. The fireplace creates an awesome cozy atmosphere, especially on colder nights, and the whole place has that relaxed, authentic local vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. We had an amazing time. Ski in. Drink a couple of beers, have a nice lunch, enjoy the fire place meet some locals, rest up, get back at it. An amazing option with great prices.
The 7800 Bar & Grill offers great service and a comfortable, smokey atmosphere, popular among skiers and dog owners. It has a cozy vibe similar to an English pub, with a large fireplace that adds to the welcoming environment. The atmosphere makes it a perfect place to hang out or relax with friends, especially after a day on the slopes. The bar could benefit from QR code ordering and may offer better views, but overall, it remains a good spot to support local business, especially for the tasty pretzels with beer cheese, which many consider the star of the menu—possibly the best pretzel ever. The pretzel bites are hot, fluffy, and appropriately salted. Visitors can warm up by the fireplace, especially since it can be chilly inside, and should layer up accordingly. The restaurant is not owned by Vail and has a very local feel. Prices are high but comparable to other resort restaurants. The kitchen closes at 8 pm, but during Fridays and Saturdays with live music, the bar stays open until midnight. Many guests enjoy the friendly staff and the inviting atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for eating, drinking, or just hanging out at Kirkwood.
