This past weekend we decided to check out the Descanso Enchanted Forest of Light and being that this was a bit of a drive I decided to make a night out of it and also scheduled a dinner reservation for Maple As we arrived we were quickly seated after a very short wait and ushered to our table. Ok, the food...yeah, 5 star. Everything was magically delicious. But what really made our night was the service. Everyone was friendly and johnnie on the spot with whatever we needed. Particularly our waitress, Jaime, who made our meal something that we will not only remember fondly for the rest of our days, but was about as warm and genuine as anyone we've had the pleasure to meet, regardless of setting. Really awful, overpriced food. Service was so quick it was like she was trying to rush us out of there. We allowed an hour and 1/2 before our entrance into Enchanted Forest and we had all of our food by 5:28 (reservation at 5:00) ... cold. Why not just spend another 10-15 and actually cook it?
