This restaurant has always issues with their attitude, so we gave up on them years ago. Recently, someone took me out for lunch here and I can safely update to say that it was completely inedible. Dry salmon, fake beef; they can't even make decent rice! It was a shame, but I had to leave it halfway.

As a place I use to frequent I enjoyed dining at the sushi bar. The sushi chefs were personable and they made dining there enjoyable TODAY! We encounter no sushi bar service and over a 12 minute wait before I asked a gentleman in black if he worked there.. his response was "don't you see I'm the only one working", he was very rude. My friends and I just got up an left!

I would give a 41/2 for the food but the service is unfriendly and it seems they dont want to be there and the customer is bothering them. I keep going for the sushi but it is getting harder and harder to be there.

Dear Dennis, I hope this review finds you well. It probably won't because it seems like you're always in a bad mood. I came to your establishment a few months ago with my family and friends. We were so taken back by your behavior, it almost seemed unreal. We were seated in that narrow room and pushed the table forward so our kids wouldn't get sandwiched between their chair and table, but you seemed to think the table was better set up that way. You quickly said, "Why did you do that? Obviously the table is set up this way for a reason." My friends and I then made eye contact to signal we have just made contact with an a$$hole. A lot more happened that night, but I'd honestly just be repeating things hundreds of other customers have written here. May I add the food was sub par, but we made the best of our night sitting in that dungeon with the table pressed against our ribs reading Ichiban's reviews and laughing hysterically. If I could give you 0 stars I wouldn't. You do deserve this 1 star for making our night so memorable (our fav review was when you chased a customer with a bat). Thank you for the laughs and for inspiring inside jokes that will always be cherished and used with our circle of friends.

Why has their sushi shrunk to the size of a quarter? Do they think that people aren't going to notice. In addition, the guy at the front desk is an absolute j**** Who owns this place to allow some little moron to tell me what I ordered, when I order the same thing every time. I felt like taking those little shrunken down sushi pieces and...I'd better not say.

This restaurant is inconsistent and they are an unfriendly bunch. The size of the salmon in my bento box was half the size of my palm. The rolls were half the size from the first time I had it. When I went to pick up my order the chefs were acting like children. Laughing as though they don't expect you to know what they are saying kind of thing. Childish. It was my first time ordering inside and I won't be back. There are way too many other options in this big city than to waste my money here.

Wish I could give zero stars. We've been eating here for years and it's been fine. NOW Takeout system is terrible. Couldn't order sashimi online. Had to call and order separately. Young woman at cash register didn't give us our full order. Calls 4 minutes after we've left and asks us to check our order because she "thinks" they forgot 1/2 our order. Didn't even know?! We had to open all the bags/boxes to check our order. Then, we drive all the way back. She hands me the bag and says that's it. I'm looking for an apology- and get nothing! Older woman steps out and shoves something else in the bag- I'm amazed... did they forget something else? I tell them that I want our tip refunded. They stare blankly. No tip refund. Hot food stone cold by now. Horrible service and no apology. Wish I could say this was the first time- less than a week ago same young woman messed up another order- she mischarged (seriously under charged) us and my husband caught the error and made sure to pay the full amount. Ridiculous.

We were there last night , the service was Ok. I ordered the seafood mixed ( The Sizzling plate), but the fish was not fresh,I couldn't eat the white fish in that plate,the taste was awful, my Son ordered Sashimi very bad quality, the fish was not fresh,the baked mussles were good and the shrimp yakisoba was delicious, this place used to be better, I don't know whats going on, but the food quality is not as good as our previous visit

Service was horrible, server never once came up to our table to ask how we were doing or to refill our drinks, took forever to get our check, we had to ask the bus boy to take the check to the server. The server and the bus boy that i only saw there seem to have an attitude from the beginning, like they didn't want to be there. Only reason why I gave it 2 stars was because the food was good, but I will never come to this location again. It wasn't even busy, I came at lunch during the week and there were about 4 other groups there.

I have been going here for years. Lately the food and service has gone drastically down hill. I went in today, and our sever was the most rude person I have ever dealt with in my life. If we asked for something he would roll his eyes and not even acknowledge us, just walk away. Will not be going back with the family.

Don't bother, place has gone down hill. Waiter was a complete a*** The food was so so but the service and waiter ruined it for us. We be been going for many years but will pass on it from now on

These folks get it done... They listen.. I have been of a regular over the years... FOOD is amazing... I am doing a lot of take out including a tall "Asahi Dry" Brewski... I usually get the two item combo... A little on the high end... , and you get what you pay for... "An Oral Extravaganza" ... It is still becoming a "La Canada Landmark... Venture out and check them out... I do not where I can go to try and make all of this..., and their service ... My time is worth a bunch... Be firm and let them know how hey can serve you!

Truly gross lmao. Definitely overcharged $20. Food was horrible but customer service was even worse. We asked if they had a table for three they awkwardly starred at us and the server went to ask someone if we could eat there. Definitely watched us as we ate and truly a very uncomfortable experience. Then there was an argument between s customer and employee and it was even more awkward especially what the employee was saying back. Grabbed a customers cup out of her hands. Never again

Tried picking up food from here. I was asking how long it would take, the staff just said "I don't know." Twice. Very rude. Go here if you want to get disrespected.Update: November 12, 2021Came back to give it another go. Said staff, confronted me about my review. Instead of providing a better experience, the person mentioned in the other reviews that seems to be the manager or the owner, ACCOSTED me. This confrontation should have never happened. Reviews are here for people to share their experience whether good or bad. This just shows how unprofessional they can be. PROVIDE BETTER EXPERIENCE FOR BETTER REVIEWS. But to be honest, never coming back here again. Zero stars! ???
