We went today at 11:00 and had Dave all to ourselves. Fantastic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines (our favorites) and so interesting to talk to Dave about his vineyards (with wife Stacy of course) and their wines. I so much prefer visiting wineries where you can interact directly with the owners. This is a beautiful setting to taste at and as longtime Coastside residents, I’m sorry it took us so long to find them. Highly recommended!

3 of us tasted the new 2021 pinots from Mindego Ridge. The block reserve is a complex wine still slightly tight with a hint of vanilla, fruit and fantastic tannins. Great to drink right now. Put it away, and 3 to 10 years later, it'll be the perfect Pinot. The nonblock reserve is a more fruit forward, but not jammy, pinot with no wrong notes and is delicious right now. As it ages, the fruit will mellow and it reminds me of the 2018 which I still love to drink today. Both can handle a serious meal. Probably the best Pinots yet from Mindego and that saying something! The Block Reserve is the best wine I tasted in 2023.

If you want to take a quiet break from the hectic Bay Area scene, hop in your car and drive to Mindego Ridge Vineyard deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains The drive alone is calming, scenic and worthwhile. At the winery you will enjoy marvelous estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while seated on a beautiful deck overlooking the vineyard - definitely not your typical tasting room experience! Dave and Stacey are gracious and attentive hosts who are passionate about their wines and love to share them with you. The entire experience is well worth it!

Jewel of the Santa Cruz Mountaion AVASome of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the country is tucked away under the redwoods in La Honda. A small but classy operation, Mindego Ridge is one of the best kept secrets around. Dave and Stacey do amazing tastings at the vineyard, in abeauful, cozy pavilion over looking the chardonnay next to their home. A worthy destination. Once you've hasted their wine, you will be hooked.

Unbelievable!

Beautiful property with sweeping landscaped and vineyard views. A perfect setting to enjoy their wonderfully complex and interesting chardonnay, rosé, and pinot. Dave is knowledgeable about the vines and the wine and a gracious host, clearly passionate about his trade. We had a wonderful afternoon tasting and can't wait to return again soon.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chardonnay and pinot noir at this lovely ridgetop winery (try the 2017 for both varietals). On the chard, we tasted candied lemon peel, bright but not too sweet. On the pinot: plum, menthol, and sage. The setting is lovely, and the owners are perhaps the best people in San Mateo County. Our car was about to run out of gas, so they kindly gave us a gallon. We'll be returning!

Great Chardonnay and Pinot, even better hospitality. Can't recommend Mindego Ridge enough. Beautiful outdoor space as well, bring some snacks and enjoy.

Unforgettable experience. Loved every wine we had and joined their wine club. Beautiful setting and ambience you will never find in Napa! A vineyard in a coastal redwood forest. Family business.

This place is a treat: fantastic wine (try the 2018 reserve), short drive (<30 min from Palo Alto/Mtn View area) & amazing ambience. Dave and Stacey were such great hosts and we would absolutely go back. A must-visit for Bay Area residents.

This is one of my favorite wineries/places to date! Truly a magical experience, thanks to Dave and Stacey! We live in Redwood City and this is a quick (but winding) 40 min drive - but it is such a treat, and worth every second! The tasting patio area overlooks a perfectly maintained garden and hillside vineyard. Includes a large table, couches, and a fireplace! They make Chardonnay and Pinot Noir all on their property and the wines are wonderful! We love naturally made, more French styled wines and that is exactly how these taste! No deep purple or fake additives and they are delicious. I don't think I have ever become a member of a winery faster! We will be frequent visitors and are already huge fans! We came with my parents who were visiting from CO and even got to bring our 6 mos old golden puppy and we all had the most amazing time and couldnt stop talking about it. Dave gave us a personal tour around the vineyard, showing us where each type of grape is picked. For wine nerds like us, this was so much fun! HIGHLY recommend checking out this hidden gem!
