Probably one of the best coffee roasters in the world. I have been buying their beans for over 20 years. They used to sell beans by the pound. After the other roasters started selling 12 oz bags Bird Rock eventually started doing that also. When Bird Rock started selling 10 ounce bags I started giving most of my business to other local roasters. I get that prices have gone up. I would rather they just raise the prices. Also, when you buy a bag they always offer a free cup of drip...

On holiday here in La Jolla
And I pass this shop a lot and decided to try it .
Delicious decaf latte and a cheese danish (vegan) pastry - so tasty .
The staff are very friendly and happy
And it’s a nice atmosphere with plenty of seating - indoors and outdoors too .
I would rate this place 10/10

Excellent coffee! Great quality beans, but maybe most importantly, perfect temperature.
Plenty of places boast the brand of beans, but ruin the taste/experience with burning or steaming too hot- NOT the case here :)
