We loved our stay at the charming Cormorant Hotel! We enjoyed sitting on our deck which overlooked La Jolla Cove, shops and downtown LaJolla. The staff was really helpful and friendly; Megan went above and beyond to make sure our Anniversary stay was memorable with a welcome round of drinks to celebrate! Their Rooftop Restaurant, the Birdnest, was excellent as well, with great food and drinks and a view hard to beat!

We didn't have a bad experience, but I would say that the setup is hyping the food. It looks as if it will be 5* food, and honestly it's very average if not below average. My sons liked their flatbread pizza, but I thought my food was bland. My wife could not eat her food as she found it undesirable. However, multiple staff came and asked if they could get her something else. They were very nice about it, and comped the food and we were not looking for that whatsoever. Birdseye Rooftop is a La Jolla rooftop restaurant and San Diego rooftop bar on the top floor of Cormorant Boutique Hotel, in the heart of La Jolla Village. Guests choose it for rooftop dining in San Diego and ocean view dining above the Pacific, with a coastal California menu and craft cocktails made with hand-squeezed citrus. San Diego brunch is served Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Happy hour runs Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and a San Diego sunset dinner is served daily.
