Cove House Reviews
Awesome food, great drinks and service! Nicole is awesome!
I am getting on a plane to leave San Diego and I already miss cove house! Came here for three days in a row on this trip and cannot race enough about the staff, Caitlin (sorry if I’m not spelling your name right girl!) is by far one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. Which is saying a lot for me considering I’m a former bartender who has been in bars coast to coast. She was so attentive, welcoming and all around a day of sunshine. Cove House is a casual spot for brunch or lunch near the park, offering a relaxed atmosphere and stunning views, especially from the patio. The food is great, with highlights such as the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich featuring buttery, crispy bread and generous fillings. The Cove Burger, cooked medium rare, is super juicy and flavorful, while the French toast is a must-try that disappears quickly. Portion sizes are satisfying, and the menu also includes tasty shrimp and chicken tinga tacos, though the tacos may be a bit small for the price. The breakfast options are delightful, with dishes like crab Benedict with overeasy eggs and hatch chili gravy, served with a beachside view.
Service at Cove House is friendly and attentive, with staff who provide great menu suggestions and make guests feel welcome. High chairs are available for young children, making it a family-friendly choice. The overall vibe is chill, making Cove House a perfect spot for a relaxed meal after a long day or race. It is important to note that hours are limited, closing at 6 pm every night, outdoor seating is scarce, and the menu is somewhat limited. Overall, Cove House offers quality ingredients and good value compared to other local options, making it a must-visit in La Jolla.
