Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The service was even worse. From the moment we arrived, we had to wait forever to be assigned a table, despite having booked in advance. The waiters were unfriendly and inattentive. It took them forever to take our order and once they did, it took forever for the dishes to arrive on the table. At no time did they come to ask if we needed anything else or if everything was okay.In short, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The combination of mediocre food and terrible service ruined what should have been a pleasant outing. I will definitely look for other options for my next meal out.Thank you!P.S And the tables are all dirty!

If I could give fewer stars I would give them, almost 2 hours of waiting, why? So that they could move on to people they knew, giving them priority, they tried to seat 6 people at a small table in the corner since we had babies. I asked different waiters more than 4 times for my drinks because they never arrived and I saw how other tables received their drinks. I ate drinks without a drink, without cutlery, without napkins because we asked the waiters and they didn't bring it, they were disoriented, they all looked like headless chickens, I don't recommend it, the space is too small and the service is terrible. Don't order the ceviche, it's more vegetables than shrimp.

I came very excited to eat there, and when we arrived there were 2 people in front of us and they only passed people that the waiters or the hostesses knew, there was a lot of social preference, the food was passable, I came very hungry so it tasted good to me, the Service from the waiters very bad, if you are coming as a family I do not recommend it because the place is very small

Terrible table service, (specifically a waiter does not listen, they do not deliver cutlery!- they don't respect your turn in line-the menu has very little variety- heSpace on the tables is too small, if there are more than 4 people you will have a bad experience (NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN)There are no chairs for children-Try to order the ceviche WITHOUT vegetables, it has very little portion of fish or shrimp protein- 75% rich flavor-comfort 60%-cleaning 80%- Your food may forget to bring it to you so try to remind your waiter

The red snapper tostada lives up to the hype. So good. Ate at the location in TJ last summer and had been fantasizing about the tostadas ever since. So happy they are here in SD now!

La Corriente Restaurant in La Jolla is a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations. The authentic Mexican food was simply amazing, with standout dishes like the perfectly cooked octopus and flavorful soft shell crab tacos that left me craving for more. The attention to detail in every bite truly showcased the authentic culinary expertise of the chefs. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.La Corriente Restaurant is a true standout in La Jolla, and I can't help but wish there were more establishments like this in the area. If you're looking for a culinary Mexican experience that combines outstanding food with exceptional service, look no further than La Corriente Restaurant. It's a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and anyone seeking a delightful dining experience.

Despite being newly opened, La Corriente Cevicheria is still finding its footing. The waitstaff seemed a bit disoriented and lacked knowledge about the menu, but they were friendly and doing their best to keep things together. Although the small location doesn't offer dedicated parking, there were enough tables available when we arrived. Now, onto the food--absolutely fantastic! We tried the red snapper, fish ceviche, ahi tuna tostadas, and let's not forget the whole octopus, which stole the show! Seriously, it was out of this world. So, while they're still ironing out the kinks, La Corriente's culinary offerings make it a must-visit spot.

We have been to La cortina in TJ many times it was amazing. Wow we found out they open La Cortina in La Jolla so excited but very disappointed because we ordered the octopus and it was so tough but we didn’t send it back. We tried it again but it’s was tough so sent it back and they were very gracious.about it. All good but the service is not up to par. Hope for there sake the service becomes better because we want them to succeed.
