Would 10% recommend and go back here for the lobster rolls! The bread was prefect. It was soft and toasted to perfection. The roll we got was a classic lobster roll warmed up without slaw on top. It was to die for and melted in your mouth. We got the child’s grilled cheese which is served on the same bread with a white cheese. It was also very good! This is walking distance from the La Jolla cove and made for the prefect ocean lunch. We enjoyed the meal on the patio in the sun. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the service that was provided.Kid-friendliness: The staff was patient and friendly with our child.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs for the property

Phenomenal rolls here. All of them. Great prices for kids meals too and they loved their grilled cheese! The price was so reasonable for coastal rolls! I loved this experience!

In town from Iowa and had the most amazing lobster roll at Lobster West! Ordered a "boss" lobster roll, slaw, and an extra roll to catch all of the meat that fell out. Outstanding flavor and huge chunks of lobster! I ended up with almost a whole other sandwich. Donte was working the register and was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. I'd highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area!

As always, the lobster rolls are delicious. I tried the lobster salad for the first time and found it slightly disappointing. However it's still a good gluten free option at the beach.

We finally made our way over to lobster west. It's a cozy little place surrounded by fun small eateries bars and of course the fancy expensive dining. Inside it looks like you are not in La Jolla but some fun small shop in Maine or similar. The service was perfect. The counter was fast and friendly. We ordered one shrimp roll. One lobster roll and small lobster soup. The buttered bread is very tasty. The meat is amazing. Lobster shrimp chunks. So goood. I can see why some will opt for the double meat as it's plenty but it's not enough to make you feel full. I thought the soup was great and the base was yummy. I was expecting more of a bisque with more chunks and creamy taste. This felt more like a dip or au jus. Which honestly was fine by me because oh yeah I dipped my roll into and loved it. It was as expected pricey for a meal of two. La Jolla prices I suppose. Everything is up these days so hard to judge.

My recent visit to Lobster West at La Jolla Cove was nothing short of spectacular. We indulged in two of their signature "Boss" lobster rolls, which were a delightful blend of fresh, succulent lobster and just the right amount of seasoning. The coleslaws, made fresh in the morning, were the perfect crunchy accompaniment to the tender lobster. The spot itself is a gem, featuring a charming outdoor patio that lets you soak in the La Jolla ambiance. The service was top-notch, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, it's entirely justifiable given the prime location and the quality of the food. If you're craving fresh lobster in a great setting, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

As someone who appreciates the simple pleasures of life, Lobster West in Encinitas is a must-visit for any seafood lover. Their lobster rolls are a masterpiece of flavor and freshness, making every bite a delightful experience. The lobster is remarkably fresh, giving you a taste of the sea with each mouthful. The bread, toasted to perfection, complements the succulent lobster meat wonderfully. Pairing this with their outstanding lobster bisque, rich and full of flavor, elevates the meal to new heights. The ambiance of the place is unpretentious and welcoming, perfect for anyone who loves a laid-back atmosphere with top-notch food. Their outdoor seating offers a great spot to enjoy the Californian sun while indulging in some of the best seafood around. The staff's friendliness and efficiency add to the overall fantastic experience. Yes, the parking can be a challenge, but the culinary journey you embark upon at Lobster West is absolutely worth it. Whether it's a sunny day by the beach or a casual dinner, Lobster West delivers an exceptional experience that resonates with the soul of Encinitas

Boss Lobster Roll means BOSS business!Based on some reviews, I was worried about the amount of lobster. However, I was NOT disappointed!Perfect texture, cook, and buttery flavor... this lobster means business! I was surprised how fresh the lobster was - due to how far it had to travel, but it tasted like home. The bun is made at a local bakery and leaves you eager for another boss lobster roll! The lobster bisque was exceptional and perfect to soak up leftover bun pieces. An exceptional meal tasting high end and of high quality ingredients. Service was superb. The only con was parking. Yikes. I circled for thirty minutes before I drove back to our airbnb and walked lol. I would have walked originally, but my mother is handicapped and needs help. Therefore, I was unable to just let her out and park a ten minute walk away. I do not say this to keep you from visiting.. one must! I just say this as it was an important factor for my family due to a disability.
