San Diego has some really terrific restaurant experiences. Places where each course is interesting and the staff is really good at what they do. Put Lucien on that list. A really fun evening. Inventive food served by an attentive team who clearly enjoy what they do. My only quibble with Lucien is that I hate trying to find parking in LaJolla but maybe that's just me. Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, everything felt elevated and welcoming. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor — every dish tasted like a Michelin-star dining experience. LUCIEN offers an extraordinary and memorable dining experience with creative and unbelievable food. Dishes are inventive, beautifully presented, and delicious, leaving guests feeling full and satisfied. The Chef's Seasonal Tasting menu is interesting with perfect portion sizes. The staff is friendly, energetic, attentive, and knowledgeable, making guests feel special. The atmosphere is comfortable with a great vibe, featuring a pretty space and an indoor/outdoor open concept. The overall experience lasts about three hours with well-spaced meals and no rush. It is an expensive restaurant but worth it. The owner gives tours of the kitchen. LUCIEN is highly recommended.
