Exceptional food, welcoming staff members, constantly awesome ambience. They charge fair rates and the food quality is excellent. Keep it up.
This spot is awesome! Affordable pricing, large dishes and the staff members are consistently very welcoming.
This restaurant is my favored. I go to a lot of restaurants but here I go the most. The stuff is very cordial and the food they cook is so delicious. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice meal in this place. Highly recommended.
Closed. Website shows it still open at this address and gives directions. Don't take the pointless trip
Perfect choice for a casual dinner with friends and family; Prepkitchen La Jolla has a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food.
Just ate here for my birthday. A great place with excellent food. The bread pudding dessert was outstanding.
My husband and I had a lovely meal with my mother and stepfather at Prep Kitchen last night. We split the salmon and a Caesar salad, and my mother and stepfather split a burger and the pasta Bolognese. We all really enjoyed our meal. When we arrived we were surprised that we were seated outside even though we had a reservation, but the heat lamps actually worked really really well and we didn’t get cold. It was actually nice to be in the fresh air where it was a little bit quieter. We capped off our meal with the ice cream sampler, and couldn’t decide which flavor was our favorite. It was great to go to a place where everyone could enjoy something different. I would also like to note that the wait staff was very attentive. They were always ready to refill our water, and easily accommodated my allergies.
We used to really like this restaurant but we had a very bad experience this evening. We had guests from out of town, telling them what a treat the place was. Two of us ordered the fish tacos, but there was so little fish that the dish was more like a salad than a real fish taco. We were hoping to linger over coffee and dessert, but our server announced that the place was closing (at 7 p.m.!) because of the rain, so we were basically hustled out. My impression was that the staff just wanted to go home. We will never go here again.
Went out to eat with my mom. Great food, great service, nice staff, everything I wanted for a casual dinner. I ordered the Mac and cheese, and my mom ordered the tater tots with salmon. Both tasted amazing. The Mac and cheese was very rich, but very good. I suggest eating it with a fork. The tater tots had some delicious sauce, and fish eggs. The food was pretty fancy, and the price wasn’t terrible. I will definitely be coming back here.
Small farm-to-table establishment, so menus vary depending on what’s available at the farmers’ markets. Appetizers (smoked beets/goat cheese, Brussels sprouts) were very tasty. Roasted salmon is served on a bed of cold orzo, which is unusual, but it works. A friend had the PK Burger and said it was excellent. Dessert was a blueberry upside down cake, also excellent. Very good meal, reasonably priced ($50/person including 1 drink). Parking is limited, but it’s La Jolla, after all.

Great place for brunch if you are looking near La Jolla Cove place. Food is tasty, orange juice oh gosh. . I would say this place is must for folks looking for brunch and then head to adventurous stuff for rest of the place. It's a really cosy place to hangout too.
This place has always perplexed me, most of the tables are outside and there's different spaces of tables. Salmon entree was good and cooked to my preference. Try the Brussel sprouts app.
Well thought through menu and nice service! Limited indoor seating but that isn’t usually a problem in La Jolla!
Great proximity to The Conrad, and thus we enjoyed gathering with friends for dinner before a concert. We sat outside on a balmy autumn night and had good service and good food, though I hovered between a rating of average and very good. We enjoyed bacon-wrapped dates as an appetizer, flowed by entrees of a lobster roll (good, not stellar), 2 bolognese, and fish. Our server was very good, the food was good/ok. Parking is on the street. Proximity to The Conrad is good.
Great atmosphere. Very chill. Stopped for a quick bite before a concert at The Conrad. Avocado toast is beautiful and tastes yummy. Chilaquiles was out of this world. Great flavor and spicy good.
