Stopped in for lunch and got the local veggie sandwich, and it was incredibly delicious! The most interesting, yummy vegetarian sandwich I may have ever had. Yum!

Went in right before they closed and they had two sandwiches left. I got a Turkey and the veggie. The veggie sandwich was blowing my mind. I thought it’s going to be another generic roasted veggies sandwich. WRONG. It was so flavorful, yet lite and filling. Perfect bread texture for the veggies. I loved it so much that I tried to recreate it so I can have it on repeat. Let’s just say I want to go back immediately and recommend you stopping by if you are in the area. The Turkey sandwich was also fantastic. I was just mindblown by the veggie one.

Top tier quality and taste! Every sandwich I’ve had here has been absolutely incredible and they are reasonably priced.

We were just walking by and decided to go in--great decision! The sandwiches were perhaps the BEST we'd ever had. All the ingredients--cheese, meat, and vegetables--were high quality and in perfect balance. All the sandwiches also came with a little delicious cube of cheese on the side (my friends and I were seriously discussing driving a couple hours from where we live to go to this creamery). We asked the owners about it and got into a discussion about the cheese--they were really sweet and very passionate! The place is cute and in a nice location, and we enjoyed reading the cheese guides while waiting for our food. We will definitely be returning whenever we come back to San Diego!

Haven’t had an experience like this since my SF days. Artisanal, creative, delicious, cute, friendly vibes, all adjectives you will feel after coming to Smallgoods.

The sandwich was better than anything I’ve created in months and it’s not this 1000 item menu. It’s simple, straight to the point, and highlights the best they have to offer. But they also have charcuterie trays, they cater and they have tons of cured meats and cheese you won’t find in the a Whole Foods or Sprouts. And the owner is super friendly and helpful with anything you need to know or maybe even don’t know. Yes, my new lunch spot when working out of LJ.

Great quality, super helpful. I’ve had charcuterie boards from here for several parties and they’re so good, great quality and beautifully put together. Best cheeses!

The owner was absolutely wonderful!!! Our daughter bought a Mystery Picnic for us, and this was our first stop. He set the whole experience for us! Gave us tips on parking, offered to take pictures, absolutely amazing person and stor owner. No one else on our stops offered anything like this kind of personal service.. he went above and beyond, one of the kindest gentlemen we met! Whenever we're in Carlsbad in the future we WILL be stopping at Small Goods. Please always stop there if you're in town you will not be disappointed!!! So sorry he is on LA JOLLA NOT CARLSBAD, my bad?

We were looking forward to trying a sandwich at SmallGoods. We were met at the entrance without a smile or a hi. Any questions were answered with an uncomfortable response. We let a local couple with a baby go ahead of us to order. What a cheery welcome they got. They were told they were out of turkey but could make any sandwich with Ham. When I took the sold out sticker off the turkey sandwich, I was about to ask if I could have it with Ham. Before I could get the words out of my mouth she grabbed the menu and tape out of my hand and reprimanded me like a 2 year old. The food might be good but I have never been treated so poorly. Needless to say we walked out.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My family and I went in to grab someLunch and the owner/lady at the counter was unbelievably rude to us while ordering and couldn’t be bothered to answer questions. We did not end up eating there and left because she was incredibly rude.

Today is my 2nd day in a row ordering a turkey sandwich. Absolutely unbelievable quality and taste. I am a self-proclaimed sandwich aficionado and I am rarely impressed by any old sandwich. This place is incomparable to any other sandwich place in San Diego. They definitely know what they’re doing!
