We were the first customers there and they messed up our orders even though they were three separate bills. They did not believe that I didn’t receive my burrito and brought out my friend’s ticket to prove their point.Foodwise, they add tater tots to all their burritos, which is very off-putting.

I should have checked the reviews first, what a disaster. Not only did they get both items wrong, but the food quality was terrible. The meat in the Al Pastor burrito was so incinerated that all that remained was raisin-sized pieces of burned jerky, and the sauce was missing. The TOT-chos were just a side of tots and were missing everything they were supposed to have, and were somehow cold despite the burrito arriving hot.

Food 3 stars, service 1 star. Food is decent but pricey. I've tried many items on the menu and all are average. However, the staff here is the worst and the reason I won't be coming back. First, they are REALLY slow to make your order. Even if you order in advance, just know that you'll be waiting. I received notification that's it's ready and sure enough, it's not. Secondly, the staff is unfriendly and really stingy with their salsa. I've done multiple large orders with maybe 6-8 burritos and each occasion I received only 3 small salsa cups for the entire order. When I asked if I could receive more, I'm met with someone with a lot of attitude telling me that they've already put it in there. Is it too much to ask for at least 1-2 small cups of salsa for each burrito? Staff is the key problem here and I hope it gets resolved because I think it'll be the downfall to this business.

The staff is friendly and the service is quick. However, I purchase five tacos from them:Al Pastor - the toppings are too heavy and don’t balance out well with the pork itself. The pork itself is on the dry side and lacks flavor.Pollo Asado - the chicken itself tastes fine but the taco is overdone with the toppings.Carne Asada - flavor of the meat is fine but again overwhelmed by the toppingsPeri Peri - Couldn’t finish a single bite, it’s both too sour and too salty and not what peri peri is supposed to taste likeBulgolgi - flavor tastes vaguely like bulgolgi but the cream on top is confusing and too acidicMy biggest gripe was the tortillas, they were slightly undercooked and thus falling apart. Wasn’t even a taco after trying to bite it once.TLDR; the flavors are trying too hard to be innovative and not worth the money. Go elsewhere.

We have been to San Diego several times over the past 10+ years. We've gone for the beaches and trying new food. We've been to plenty of pretty good places. This is the first restaurant that I would make an effort to return to, and I went a second time the next day. Food is marvelous. I enjoyed the Reef and Beef. A lot of the reviews complained about the parking. Can't say much about that since I walked there. It's really convenient for people staying at the nearby Marriot. Service was fine; it didn't move the needle positively or negatively.

10 out of 10 would NOT RECOMMEND. I ordered a "breakfast" burrito. Eggs, cheese, tater-tots. guacamole all no flavor, partially warm, and over all NOT worth the price- Mexican food should be flavorful, abundant, and cheap. I had to ask for salsa- the red and green were watery and just hot again no flavor.I took 3 bites trying to eat it- mid 3rd bite it all went in the trash.

At first bite, everything was amazing. Bold. Flavorful. Mouthwatering. But as I kept eating, all the flavors just blended together and the flavor profile was no longer complex but instead just... salty. And sour. Everything was just so weirdly sour. Maybe that's their specialty but it did ruin a few of the dishes for me.Although everything was pricey, I didn't expect anything less from La Jolla. Also be aware that you have to pay for parking in that plaza!! 45 minutes costed us a little over $2. I unfortunately do not think I'll come back but if you are interested in non-traditional tacos then check this place out!

This spot offers a delightful blend of Mexican authenticity and innovative fusion cuisine. The Mexican/Korean fusion tacos were a unique and flavorful twist that truly impressed. Opting for the surf and turf burrito, it delivered a satisfying mix, although a touch more finesse could've elevated it further. The flavors harmonized well, earning an 8/10. Amidst the colorful array of Mexican dishes, this fusion marvel stood out. If you seek inventive fusion with authentic Mexican undertones, this place is a definite go-to. A hub for exciting culinary experiments, sure to please those craving a twist on traditional Mexican cuisine. Service was fine and ambiance was ok.

It is a crying shame how awful their customer service is when the food is so delicious. The 1st time I went here I tried to order online but the app wouldn't allow modifications so I just ordered in person. Luckily, I always get guac on the side at new restaurants because so often these places' guac is awful! I was correct: the tacos and chips were insanely yummilicious, but the guac was horrible- was brownish and tasting of over ripe tomatoes. Since I only have 1/2 hour lunch and in person it took close to 25 mins(in part ecause they messed up and added guac to the tacos so they had to remake the order) for the order to be ready, today I tried to order online via my computer since trying via my phone I still couldn't modify the order. This is stupid since I wanted the 2 taco plate, but without a modification option you can't even choose which tacos/sides/drink you want in the combo! So tell me why, I called to place the specified order as I was driving over and ASKED if I may place the order over the phone(explaining the online difficulty) The young lady who answered said yes but asked me to hold for a moment, only to leave me on hold the entire time(9mins 47secs) with the mic open as I heard her take 4 other onsite orders! Obvi, learning from the original visit and not wanting to be late back from lunch, I just turned around and went back. Thanks for wasting my time and gas, SUPER AWESOME customer service... keep up the great work guys

Got the bacon breakfast burrito and it was awesome. I’d keep going back here for that. Price was $12 and it was a large burrito.Only reason I’m knocking a star off was because my fiancés breakfast bowl was mostly tater tots and didn’t look that appetizing. She ate it but again, I’d say just stick to the breakfast burritos.
