We arrived for a late breakfast, and despite the busy atmosphere, we were seated at a lovely table in less than 10 minutes. The host and the entire team were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, especially the eggs Benedict and homemade lemon ricotta pancake. The espresso and latte were also delicious! We look forward to returning.

Very nice staff and super delicious food! The cinnamon pancakes were incredibly tasty - value for money was also right.

Crab cake was very odd as it was encased in angel hair pasta.

The French toast was soooooo good. Went on Saturday, kindest host ever! Easy environment with a bit of a wait time, nothing too bad! Definitely get a Mexican mocha latte, so yummy :)

I forgot how much I love The Cottage! Finally, a dry weekend in San Diego to eat on the patio! Fresh squeezed Grapefruit Mimosa and yummy Bloody Mary, good coffee, attentive Wait Team, Kitchen on point...I can think of a few restaurants that should take note of why The Cottage is so successful ?

It's classic and simple. I adore going to The Cottage for brunch. I might be addicted to the through french toast! It's a local gem. through As others have mentioned, it's a bit small to get a stroller or wheelchair throught the cafe. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends. The wait can be long sometimes, but I still enjoy it at least once a month.

The good: Great flavors, the lemon ricotta pancakes and antojito benedict were a perfect way to start our day. Fruit cup for the kiddo was great (more than just some bland melon). Plenty of seating both inside and out, with the patio featuring plenty of umbrellas for that morning sun. Service was friendly and helpful with the well-sized menu. The not-so-good: Along with the rest of the area, the prices are a little steep ($65 for breakfast for two). That's really the only knock, as we enjoyed the rest of our meal.Food/drink: 9/10Atmosphere: 9/10Service: 9/10
