Better Buzz Coffee La Mesa

Too much camaraderie behind the counter. Had to wait for people to stop socializing in order to order something. Also the scones are stones. They did not taste like they looked. Those need to be improved. The other items made of croissants looked enticing however, I’ve seen a lot of great presentation that never stands up so I didn’t have any hope for those croissants but the stone excuse me scone was much worse I will give two stars for the coffee that I purchased, which already had vanilla cream mixed in. I am also tired of seeing a request for a tip for doing your job at a counter. I probably won’t return here.

I love this location! They are always sweet! My mom comes here a lot and I love the coffee. They are always so welcoming. I love the Hazlett divinity and the best drink ever an good prices

I had to go to SDSU and stopped by La Mesa Better Buzz. The staff was so nice and the store was very cute. Loved the Best Drink Ever!

I usually have a good experience at the Better Buzz Coffee on University Avenue in La Mesa — the drinks are consistent and the atmosphere is nice. However, my recent visits have felt a little uncomfortable. When I come in to do deliveries, I’ve noticed that if I’m not just quietly minding my own business, some employees tend to question what I’m doing or seem overly curious.
On one occasion, two employees asked to confirm the order, which I understand is part of their process, but it felt unnecessary to have both involved and to be watched so closely. As an independent contractor, I respect the store’s policies and always try to do things the right way, but I also value being treated with trust. The way it happened made me feel singled out, maybe unintentionally, and the overall vibe was off.
I hope this feedback helps improve communication and makes the experience more comfortable for delivery drivers in the future because I’ve always liked this location otherwise.

Better Buzz Coffee offers a refreshing experience. They have clean interiors, wholesome food, great coffee/tea, and exceptional service. The baristas are consistently cheerful, polite, and genuinely helpful. If you’re torn between this and one of the big-name chains, do yourself a favor and make a switch.
I’ve come here four mornings in a row. You guys, the era of overly sugary drinks is behind us… we can enjoy something delicious without all the fluff. I’d much rather support an emerging franchise that’s redefining the coffee scene than one that has lost its way!

Needed some caffeine so I swung by my favorite coffee shop for my favorite cold brew treat! Maya is always so welcoming and friendly! Maya doesn’t just serve drinks — she serves magic in a cup! If espresso shots were superpowers, she’d be the reason the Avengers show up on time. Basically, she’s the best part of my morning... and possibly the reason I haven’t moved to another city.
Give this woman a raise, a crown, and maybe her own roast.

I went through the drive-thru and ordered the mint-infused shaken espresso—so good! Devyn assisted me and was friendly, helpful, and made the experience quick and easy. Great service and a delicious drink!

They messed up my order and when I came back to get it changed they took like 20 min to get a new one and the place wasn’t even packed at the time. They get visibly mad/ annoyed.
