Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar

Very good food. For a little while, quality of food suffered a little (during Covid 19). But now, things are back and I am so glad!

I had dinner here with a service animal three weeks ago we could get a chicken breast for the service animal without a problem yesterday the manager decided that a new California law that nobody knows about prohibits them from serving food to animals. There are restaurants in San Diego that have a doggy menu and I googled the law. There's no such law, replace the manager. The food is absolutely great. 

Food was not as good as we have had at the Brig at the harbor . The Brussel sprouts were dry and disappointing. The mahi was over cooked and greasy.

Amazing service, outstanding food. Recommend the sea bass and halibut. Oysters were great too!!

Great food, ambiance, and excellent service! We had a reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. Drinks and food were delicious, and the timing of the appetizers with our meals gave us the perfect chance to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The staff was so friendly, and since we were celebrating two birthdays, they surprised us with complimentary desserts for the birthday girls. Would absolutely recommend Brigantine La Mesa!

The service was great, and that's pretty much their baseline. Food was good. I got a special and forgot to ask the price, and it ended up being more than I wanted to spend - it would be helpful if they told you up front (which restaurants don't generally do anymore). But the portion was good. We sat in the back corner of the patio, which was not great. Table wobbled, not very clean, there was a bunch of junk stored next to our table, no ambiance at all. Prob won't sit there again. The main dining room and bar were redone not too long ago and look nice and are highly themed - they should focus some effort on the patio. Overall, enjoyable but the Brig has become pricey. Bright side, they don't add a service charge!

One of our go to restaurants in East County! Always good food and service. Celebrated my birthday and they provided a $15 discount and free dessert! Quite nice!

We have dinner at this Brigantine at least every two months. The food is great and the servers are the best. We had a little snafus with the timing of our food delivery, but staff was more than apologetic and it did not affect our dining experience.

I eat at the bar every Thursday night. The service is always great and I always have great food and some wonderful patrons to talk to.!

Another very good meal at the Brigantine La Mesa. The food was outstanding with 1 minor exception. Service was very good. We go a little later in the evening so it isn't as busy, which is far more relaxing.

Tami was our waitress and she was terrific. Can't say enough nice things about her and her service.

Good branch of this chain here in La Mesa. The Brigantine has a good standard when it comes to dining so I visit them around the county here in San Diego for meeting friends and family etc. This was no exception. From the manager to the water boy everything was as it should be, courteous and spot on.

Family group of 12 cellabrateing my mom's birthday 🎂, everyone had a good time. The food was well prepared and delicious 😋. The staff did an excellent job, the preparation, presentation, and timely manner in which everything was carried out exceeded everyone's expectations. I would likely choose this location for other similar events in the future.
By the way my mom enjoyed her self too ☺️.
