I was in this Costco this evening. I have to compliment an assistant to a checker. She was so pleasant from the time we pulled our cart up until we paid. She asked if we needed boxes and pulled them for us, she efficiently arranged our stuff in them, being engaged with our purchases from begging to the time we paid. I think her checker was Armando, who was pleasant and engaging also. I want to thank Bre for a helpful and pleasant experience in what can be hectic and in what can be a madhouse at times!! Thanks Bre and Armando!!

Way to crowded and god forbid u want boxes to for everything u buy. I'm so tired of spending $400-$500 every time I go, which is every 10 days or so and have to beg for boxes. The associates act like it's such an inconvenience to get boxes. Am I supposed to carry everything into my house one by one? It should be a given that your purchases are packed up. I shouldn't have to ask and be made to feel like I'm the idiot for doing so. Perhaps it's time to check out Sam's club.

I'm a little bit pissed that Wyatt at the fletcher Parkway Costco felt like he needed to school me personally regarding their return policy. Apparently it's not meant for returning items that you overbought even though it doesn't say that anywhere on the website and I know this because I looked. In fact, it is clear anywhere you look that Costco has the best and most lenient return policy. I presume that's one of perks of a membership. We pay our yearly fees and Costco will refund me for ANY ITEM I do not want. Is the cost of these items coming out of Wyatt's personal paycheck?? I don't pay fees, wait in long lines, spend thousands of dollars just to get grief when I overbuy and go to get my $150 back, Wyatt. Thank you for making me feel awkward, and embarrassed because you THINK I'm abusing my privileges as a Costco member but until it's posted on the website I will continue to return unused and unopened items that I find that I don't need. THANK YOU and peace

Horrible customer service! My husband surprised me with a beautiful emerald and diamond ring for Christmas and it chipped! The next day I went to hopefully get it replaced or repaired and the manager Wyatt was so rude to me that I stated to cry. Which confused my one year old daughter who was in the cart and she started crying too. We both left the store crying and no one cared at all. Wyatt told me he would not help me without the cardboard box that the ring came in, even though I had the receipt and certificate of authenticity. He was treating me like I was just trying to get cash even though I never once asked for a refund. After I cried outside I ended up taking to another manager who informed me that the box was a non issue. So Wyatt was extremely rude for no reason, and apparently doesn't know the store policy.

12/21/2023 11:30 am: I went on my first visit to the La Mesa Costco location early this afternoon for the first time with a family member. I decided to make my last minute holiday shopping there before Christmas, while in the meat department I had some questions for one of the meat department employees. You can tell right off the get-go that the young man, whose name tag read "Trevon" did not want to be there. He had an apparent attitude and gave me short and brief answers to my questions as if I was a major bother to him. It's very disappointing to have been met with such an experience for my first visit to this location. My family member said that she had a similar experience with "Trevon" on another occasion. On the other hand, the rest of the employees in the department seemed to be working hard and had no problem helping out my family member and I find the best deals and quality!

This is honestly the worst costco I've ever been. The parking lot is HOT MESS!! This is the entrance next to McDonald's. There's no stop sign, and I've seen people honking and almost getting into a car accident. Traffic is coming from 3 different sides, and no one has a stop sign, so everybody wants to be first! I don't think anyone stopped at the stop sign. They need to make the side row all handicapped or at least have one row with handicapped parking like the one in the Santee location. I've seen an elderly almost got run over by car that drives way too fast in the parking lot. The service is TERRIBLE!! I've always bought my daughter and my eyeglasses, contacts, and sunglasses here. You take a number and wait for your number to be called. Well.. I waited and waited as this lady with a red hair helped 3 people without a number. When I told them that my number was up next, they said they were busy. It's so sad because this was my favorite costco to get glasses because of how awesome the customer service was. If you have bad anxiety like me, avoid this costco at all cost. I've talked to another costco goer, and they almost got hit by a car twice trying to park. The inside is not as busy and crowded as well. I really hope something will change before someone gets hurt.

What Costco only has one way in and out of the main parking lot?? Parking is a shit show. Save yourself the headache and drive out of your way to the Santee one instead

This place is excellent I am not allowed to go here and I get in trouble for taking the car out but the human gets the wet fud, dry fud, litter fur the indoor box, and a scratchet post. The dogs get their fud, beds I steal, toys to keep them nusy and out of triuble, and breath freshener that is important dig breath is terrible. I am a cat if that is relevant.

25.00 for tire rotation. Costco beat all the shops around me by 50.00! Thanks!! I would get tires here as well. They have a great package for it.

I am a loyal customer to Costco La Mesa Optical Department for last 5 years have spent $5,000 dollars easily in that time frame. I just purchased a new pair of glasses with my insurance less than a month ago, they did not have any frames I liked at the time I got my glasses so I provided frames I had previously purchased and they used my insurance Superior. Today, I finally saw some Roberto Cavalli Frames that I wanted to purchase using my insurance, and I was told by sales person and Manager that I had to purchase Lens also. So basically, they are telling me how to spend my money that I work for, when I have always used Costco Optical to purchase my glasses. I View this as poor CUSTOMER SERVICE from COSTCO Optical Department and I am going to file formal complaint to Costco Corporate Offices. They just made up a bullshit Policy.

Let me start off by saying I have been to many Costco's. Usually the service is amazing. Maybe even too good sometimes since they accept returns of Christmas trees after Christmas... so.. you get my point. This Costco.. it's awful. The service isn't great. I have definitely ran into some helpful employees but the majority of them are rude and unhelpful. The selection also isn't great. Other Costco's have huge a nice selection and this seems to be one that they don't send much of the items with higher quality. The layout isn't all that great either. Let's talk parking. Literally the worst parking lot one could imagine. It's an absolute wreck. You have parking going parallel and diagonal, and customers trying to get in and out is a mess. It always one huge car jam getting in or out of the parking lot. It's definitely worth commuting to a different Costco. I do not recommend this one. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star is because it's still Costco and I can't to do to the franchise as a whole.

Henny Secured! Was on the hunt for the rare, illusive, and illustrious White Hennessy, and here it was, in limited supply. I believe it was $76 for the 700ml, which is 50 ml less than a typical 5th. There were only a few bottles left, so call ahead if you're looking to scoop some up.The parking lot is large, but it's kind of a pain getting in and out. They had some fire ladies Champion sweats if you're looking for gifts this season. The lines were extra long today, I mean extra long. The lines were so long, a patron bum rushed the cashier aggressively, nearly demanding they open up more lanes. I was frustrated as well, so I can imagine what they were feeling. Since I was solely purchasing the two bottles of that white hen, the wait seemed just that much longer; but shout out to the young woman ahead of me, out here increasing her Karma, by so kindly letting me skip in front of her. Mobile bathrooms in the parking lot... interesting. Thanks to the crew!

Come on Costco you can do better than this. Your parking lot entrances, exits, and signage are all horrible! Cars speed through the outer parking lot closet to the gas station in order to cut inline to the pumps closest to Fletcher Parkway. People who try and park closest to the warehouse are idiots. Stopped in the isles waiting for a car to back out, clogging entrances! Santee Costco is a better choice for me, until Costco La Mesa changes the parking situation.

Excellent due diligence in customer service. We'll stocked and has great brand selection of all needed goods at great value. Upon leaving we noticed a price difference on several products. They were happy send one of their associates to check the price and refund our money. Great job!

Pros: A clean facility, lots of variety in merchandise, close to my house. Friendly staff.Cons: parking is atrocious, it's always packed (busy), long lines both for the warehouse and the gas station.Overall, I love Costco but I dread a big to fight my way to get inside.
