Great food and great service. Great atmosphere (went at noon) and it was super chill! Only negative is place is super pricey. Ordered a shrimp salad, quesadilla and a drink came out to $70 including tip. The friend I dined with agreed, expensive.

I never leave reviews but this place has the worst hostess I've ever encountered. Asked for inside cause it's cold, got told theres no inside seats and got sat outside. Immediately after sitting us, the hostess seats 2 guys inside- and no they didn't reserve those spots. Just left after that, never seen someone struggle so hard to simply seat people. Lol. Don't bother.

Restaurant wasn’t full. Waited 30 minutes for fries and sliders, no apologies, no check ins. Won’t be coming back. Food was also terrible

A basic hamburger, fries, and a Pepsi cost $29, which felt extremely overpriced. Unfortunately, the service was just as disappointing as the food. Our server, who was also the bartender, essentially ignored us, and we had to flag them down just to get the check. The food was average at best, and the service was subpar. If we decide to return, we’ll avoid sitting in the bar area. Ultimately, people remember the service more than the food, and no one wants to feel like an afterthought when dining

Curbside has the atmosphere and food and drinks! Excellent service too!
I just love this little local restaurant. First, the outdoor dining is very appealing. It’s nice to just sit and watch the passersby on a beautiful day
But what keeps me coming back is the amazing tacos that they serve! I’m gluten-free so I really can’t partake in the burgers and such, but these tacos are fantastic, highly recommend the fish taco and the short rib taco. They’re so good. I just keep getting the same thing every time I go back.
Service is always great The staff has a smile on their face and the food is brought out in just the right amount of time.
Highly recommend this place if you were in downtown La Mesa for lunch or dinner !
Dietary restrictions: Not listed on the choices are the tacos… These are great for me because I’m gluten-free!

We just stopped for drinks after visiting nearby shops in La Mesa. Our server was excellent. My husband had a barrio loger and I had the Hibiscus Cooler (non-alcoholic). I can't comment on the food as we didn't give it a try, but the drinks were fine and the patio seating was nice.

We love to come here during the farmers market! Lots of music and people watching. They don’t have a kid specific menu but they have kid friendly options. Extremely happy with our service at our last visit when another customer tried to aggressively take the table that was being cleaned for us. Our server and the hostess had our backs and secured our table for us again. Thanks! We’ll definitely be back :)

My friend and I ordered a tall rum and tonic with a splash of cranberry... the drink was itemized: 10 dollars a piece for the rum (well), 50 cents a piece for the tonic, and one dollar a piece for the splash of cranberry which was close to non-existent. I had the falafel plate which was decent and fairly priced. My friend had the Swiss/ Mushroom burger which he loves. At twenty dollars it comes with potato chips. Any upgrades to French fries for example are going to cost you more.. Honestly, I don't understand the hype around this place.... 2 drinks, 1 burger, 1 falafel plate = $66.19 plus a thirteen dollar tip equals a grand total of $79. Oh but wait, "there are no additional fees or surcharges here..." so there's that.

You can have big hugh dog blocking the walk way to tables on the patio but not the iced tea you buy during farmers market that this restaurant is profiting from. Feels pretty greedy by harrasing people about keeping the iced tea they bought, hostess says I can hold it for you, so Im saposed to trust you with my drink but you cant trust me to spend money in your establisent, no thank you,to this bad vibes business! Spent our money at a nearby restaurant.

I was there today with my daughter. She has been here before and wanted me to try it. Boy, was I impressed! The food and service were amazing. I had the poke salad, and my daughter had a burger and fries.
There is a nice breeze that blows through there. We ate inside. The outside is nice as well and is dog friendly.
I wish this place continued success. Thank you!
