I love this place !
Visiting this fest in particular was a first for me. I thought they did a good job about having variety among vendors. It would be nice to see more authentic oktoberfest food options, although I'm new to CA so- not sure if that cuisine is here or not. Great Brat/Sausage varieties and a couple pretzel spots. That was the most I saw within Bavarian cuisine though.

Super fun had a great time
La Mesa Oktoberfest is a lively event that attracts a large crowd, creating an electric atmosphere with live music and traditional German clothing enhancing the festive vibe. The beer selection is impressive, featuring a variety of Oktoberfest and fall season beers, along with regular beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. While the street food options are standard fare, the German-inspired pub-style food stands out, with the $16 bratwurst plates and $10 pretzels being decent choices. However, the bratwurst has received mixed reviews, with some finding it lacking in flavor.
This year, many vendors offered unique crafts and delicious food, contributing to a fun experience. The service at the bratwurst vendor was noted to be amazing, with quick-moving lines. The event features fun activities for both adults and kids, including a Ferris wheel, which added to the experience.
Though some visitors wished for more authentic German music, they still enjoyed the overall atmosphere. With some improvements to parking and organization, La Mesa Oktoberfest has the potential to be an even more enjoyable experience, despite some comparisons to more authentic Oktoberfest events.
