First time eating here after passing by it manytimes. They bring chips and salsa ( i prefer a picadillo type) its hot but lacks salt (for me) I ordered the carna asada steak ruce and beans combo for $21 the steak was cooked to order and taste good. It was chewy or undercooked like some places. The rice and beans had a home made taste and they serve food sized portions. I also had the bacon wrapped shrimp. It needs to be updated for it has years with old systems that needs to be high tech for to take orders and well qualified taste and flavored real Mexican food. Well trained professionals chefs and waiters as well busboys.

Best Aunthentic Mexican food in La Mesa. Great service always attentive. Very underrated and best place to get sit down Mexican food. Mole is amazing and the Tamarindo Margaritas are superb!
