I was disappointed by how soggy the chilaquiles were. They also coulda had more salsa which is interesting because although in my opinion they were lacking salsa, it’s the salsa that makes them soggy. Maybe I got an old batch? Because at the bottom of the green chilaquiles the tortilla chips almost looked grey. I ordered a burrito and an enchilada platter. The place is nice and clean and good service. The chicken was very tasty. I would have liked bigger sides and the chicken was just a bit dry
For years I have made a point to come visit Mementos when I visit San Diego. They have the best Chilaquiles I have ever had - perfectly crispy, well sauced, with tangy pickled onions and fluffy scrambled eggs. Many years ago we looked for the best chilaquiles in San Diego. Mementos won handily for us.
