The food is amazing and without a doubt could easily contend with the top Italian restaurant businesses within all of San Diego. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel at home. They hustle and by the time I finish my salad my main course is already on its way. The Owner, named Pietro is a very kind and generous man and regularly comes out of the kitchen to visit with the guests. Luciano, the owner’s son also is very outgoing and super friendly. He is also very handsome, nice, and has a shine to his smile ??. All and all. The overall restaurant has a great environment and is enjoyable for a date night, after a long day at work, or even coming straight from the beach.

Great food, great people, great restaurant. Here is the best Italian food and vibe you can get in San Diego County. I recommend this place to anyone who will listen. This might be the only true New York/New Jersey-esque Italian restaurant in Southern California. It's the kind of place you want your Italian restaurant to be. It's the kind of place you'll feel glad to bring a first date, or your grandma, or a friend from out of town.Pietro's even catered my rehearsal dinner and it was a real hit. Can't recommend this place higher!

The Nomenclature
The pizza is great, the crust is even better. My wife's favorite is the Pollo Toscano. Mine is the seafood linguine. Family owned, restaurant is in the corner of the strip mall, and it just feels as if you're eating in a family's friend italian dining room.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing customer service!! The waiters made us laugh, I believe it was the owner that came out and asked it was our first time, He made us laugh. I had the most wonderful time. OMG highly recommended! Best food I’ve ever eaten.
Pietro's is an amazing Italian restaurant hidden in the corner of a cute shopping center. The food is amazing and Pietro's sauce is to die for. I had the gnocchi al pietro and am still dreaming of this meal. This family owned business is amazing.

Sorely disappointed with my pizza. I called in my order for a large pepperoni with meatballs and extra cheese and ended up with a poor quality pepperoni pizza. The quality was so bad that we threw the leftovers in the trash. Because of time constraints, I was unable to return to the restaurant to correct my order. I won't be ordering from them again. Check your pizza before you leave and before you tip.
Very authentic. Fantastic pizza and bread here! Have not tried the more expensive dishes on the menu; however, the simple ones like pizza, spaghetti, meatballs etc are very very good.

I love this spot. Just an intimate local place where you feel like family. Vinny, our waiter, was as kind and attentive as could be. Great recommendations for our entrees. The creamy pesto sauce was delicious, and the baked rigatoni did not disappoint.
