Your employee Hunter has a natural instinct for exceptional customer service. My first time at this location but I have a lasting impression. He was efficient and proactive assuming what would make my order better. Very considerate. Thank you. Kudos to management because I’m convinced that good people work for good people.

HOT Coffee BURN:_workers laughing and not paying attention to drive through order at intercom or front window_Cold coffee was the wrong size, they remade it but it tasted like they just added liquid_no napkins provided with food or drinks_Hot drink was not double cupped and cap was not snug - my first sip, the top popped off and the coffee spilled on my hand, arm and thigh, 1/4 of the drink spilled on me, I was lucky to be wearing thick sweats and a sweatshirt_No answer to my phone calls when I called to speak to a manager_I drove back down and the assistant store manager was one of the persons at the window joking around while I stood in line_I was offered a comped coffee and the told "FULL DISCLOUSURE WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUR HOT GRANDE AND VENTI LIDS""WHY WERE WE NOT WARNED WHEN THE COFFEE WAS GIVEN TO US"Please pay attention to what you are doing, its ok to have fun at work, but not at the expense of your patrons. The assistance manger was polite and respectful but there is an obvious lack of appropriate leadership. This is not my first bad experience at this location.

Staff is always friendly and helpful!One of the better starbucks.It's the staff that makes the difference.I have found that there are two types of Starbucks, there are nice Starbucks with cheerful people and there are gloomy Starbucks with uppity people.

The days of the larger Starbucks with plenty of tables and chairs and comfy seating are quickly going away. This store is huge, always comfortable, almost always a seat.

0 Star. Hoping this reaches management team so they can touch base with their baristas on how to talk to costumers and how to easily and efficiently fix their mistakes. If your mobile order is missing expect to be greeted with a barista with an attitude and no customer service skills. But from the looks of the other reviews rude and unhappy Baristas seems to be a problem here. I ordered mobile order this morning and was patiently waiting for my drink in the cafe, as 20 minutes went by and multiple mobile orders were made and picked up except mine I walk over to see what happened. A barista assisted me as approached the counter, she asked my name for the mobile order that was missing, I also provided the receipt from my mobile to prove it was the right store and that it was ordered a while ago, she proceeded to checks all of the current mobile orders on the counter which were hot drinks and mine was iced as she saw on the receipt. She asked me again for the name of the mobile order, after she had looked at the receipt and so I asked again if they received it. She proceeded to have an attitude about how I gave an abbreviated name, I said my name was Kate instead of my full name on the order. She says they don’t have the drink, she then asks me to tell her verbally what the drink is so she write it down and make it again after she had already been told my name and physically looked at the receipt herself so she knows the order. Which was made me question if you can ask my phone physically to scan for a refund why couldn’t you physically look at the receipt to remake the drink from the first place? Management must not of been on the floor because I was quite shocked by her quickness to have an nasty attitude. At this point, I asked for a refund and provided my mobile so she could scan to refund but not before she scrolled around on the app looking for something I’m not sure. After I was given a receipt of refund, I had used reward stars to purchase my drink and I asked if they stars are refunded as well. She snapped again with more attitude with how I will have to check the app because all I asked for was a refund and that’s all she did was refund what I ordered. This was an easy fix on her part, you see you are missing a drink and you make it right away, maybe even offer a refund as well for inconvenience of my wait. Instead you talk back to the customer about my name and then you ask me to verbally tell you the order again after looking at the receipt and then snap that I had to ask for refund and act like that’s all you could do or say. Whether or not you had the information about the reward stars, the reaction and response was highly inappropriate especially after my experience of my missing coffee. Customer service was as off because of the holiday otherwise of would of gone directly to them about the incident.

My first time at this location and I won't be going back. I stood at the register for about five minutes in front of two employees having a conversation, and neither of them acknowledged me. I just walked out and went to the Starbucks in the Vons across the parking lot. Better service there.

this is my regular starbucks, and the new staff is just so bad. most of them have a attitude and seem miserable to be working there. the drink i get is not that complicated and it only gets messed up at this location. it has 3 lines and that's it. i am not a yelper but today i came in to pick up my order (i always order on the app) and had to wait until it came it which is fine i know they are always busy. my drink had gotten called out and i went to the counter to pick it up & they had forgot to add something. i told the guy upfront what was wrong (he was making drinks but no one else was around to help) .. he said "oh okay" and that's it. no direction or anything. so then i'm just standing there awkwardly. i had looked up, his blonde/ginger hair girl coworker and him are gossiping i'm pretty sure. at the end of their interaction i heard "sorry aaron" & then he said "your new drink is there" i misheard him so had started saying what my drink was as anyone else would because when i brought up the problem he said "oh okay" and nothing else after. him and that one coworker have been the rudest i've seen here and need to get a talking to. i no longer want to come here and it made me feel uncomfortable. emily, kat, jen, gil & eri are the best there tho!

Dylan just made my day! It's pretty hard to leave such a great impression in just a 2 minute encounter but somehow the staff at the La Mesa location had my laughing and smiling while I was ordering through the drive through. When I pulled up, Dylan decided to take care of my order. It seriously just made my day. Every time I come here I've been greeted with smiles and asked how my day is going. Seriously a great experience. Thank you!!

Please reprimand your architect for not designing this facility to provide a connection between the sidwalks/streetscape and this coffee shop. This location is on a corner and neither side of the building can be reaching from the sidewalks that flank in on two ends. Patrons must walk through a busy parking lot out of the way and fight traffic. People walk too you know.
