Uncle Joey’s Pizza & Grill is easily one of my favorite spots. The pizza is consistently excellent, great crust, great balance, and you can tell real care goes into every pie. Nothing feels rushed or sloppy here, which is honestly rare these days.

A big reason this place stands out is Joey. Every time I’ve been in, he brings an incredible level of focus, pride, and work ethic that shows in both the food and the experience. You can feel that the place is being run with intention and high standards, and it makes a difference. It’s the kind of spot where quality actually matters, not just speed or volume.

If you’re looking for pizza made the right way, by someone who clearly takes pride in what they do, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Working in town and away from home, got my order done quick and easy, called in to ask a quick question, got a friendly easy answer, pizza arrived without delay or issue. Tasted phenomenally delicious. Super grateful to the guys at Uncle Joey's Pizza & Grill - definitely recommend and now a repeat customer whenever working out this way. Thanks guys!

We ordered to go, and they seemed short staffed as our order took an extra 20 minutes past the expected time. The inside area had at least 5 other people waiting for their orders. That aside, the food was very good and the small size salad is huge!

We ordered a large order for our hospital unit and Uncle Joeys did not disappoint. Tbh we could have fed the entire hospital with how large the pizzas were and the pizza itself was delicious. Joey himself helped me put the food in my car and that’s the kind of place I want to be giving my business too. He didn’t have to but he took the time and helped and that really made a positive impact.

Uncle Joey’s is hands down the best pizza spot in La Mesa! If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend it. The vodka sauce pizza is soooo good and full of flavor. The ingredients are always fresh, the crust is perfect, and you can tell everything is made with care. On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly and always makes you feel welcome. This is definitely our go-to pizza spot that never disappoints.

This is one of those places that I don’t know what I would do if they ever decided to stop operating. Truly amazing food, service, and location. My favorite is the Bbq chicken pizza! Defintely worth checking out, but beware because you will desire to return daily. Amazing work.
