Food used to be better, havent gone in years but I trusted my past experience with them. Went to order SurfnTurf Fries they had absolutely no kind of fries on the menu so I get the window and the lady tells me $26 for 1 plate of fries!! Not Ok.. Still got them anyway asked the lady a question and she pitched an attitude. Fries were burnt plate was small and why was there pieces of tostada in my food?! There are better places in San Diego, used to be my favorite place not going back again and I was generous with the rating.

Food is sort of tasteless. Guac was not good has a little sour taste to it looks like prepackaged and not freshly made. The lady handed me coin for the bathroom and it had sauce all over it. I'm surprised she didnt notice, or maybe didnt care. The only good thing is proximity to evans tire. Would i go to evans tire again i would bring my own food or go to starbucks instead.

Someone using the grill doesn't wear gloves and picks up cheese and meat without gloves. This is not acceptable at all.

Iโm a frequent customer so it saddens me that I have to leave this review, but my recent visit (02/12/26) gave me the worst food poisoning experience of my life. I will no longer be coming back.
I question the cleanliness of their kitchen after that experience, not fun at all.

Make sure you check your credit card statement because they charged more than what was on my receipt and when I mentioned this the guy threatened to call the police. Not a pleasant experience very unprofessional

๐ฎโจ Every time we come to San Diego, Vallarta Express is a must-visit for us! โญ Their roll tacos are absolutely amazing โ made fresh right there on the premises, and you can truly taste the difference. ๐ I usually get a bit of a stomach ache after eating Mexican food because it can be greasy, but never here. ๐ The food at Vallarta Express is always fresh, light, and high quality. The lettuce is crisp, flavorful, and so fresh ๐ฅฌโจ โ which says a lot about the care they put into their ingredients. They also offer a great drink selection ๐ฅค๐น and have both comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, with TVs in every corner ๐บ โ perfect whether youโre relaxing, chatting, or catching a game. The staff is incredibly friendly and customer-oriented ๐ Itโs obvious they truly care about both the quality of their food and the service they provide.
