Best soul food ever in the OC support your local black owned restaurant. I will be coming back here again for some more their spicy jambalaya is to die for. My family and I got takeout from here recently. We got the gumbo, jambalaya, cajun pasta, and beet salad. Everything was delicious! The gumbo and jambalaya were spicy enough to satisfy me, but not to the point where you felt like your mouth was on fire. The cajun pasta was so good! Kinda sad we went family-style because I could've eaten 3 servings of it :P The dressing for the beet salad was a little too sour for my taste but still good. Unfortunately I thought this place would be more than it actually was. TV's were on (CNN politics) detracting from the atmosphere I had anticipated. No jazz music playing at all which would create a NOLA atmosphere. Loud conversation of employees coming from the open kitchen. Food was fine just lacking overall classiness. Things listed on menu were not available and greens were not fresh. Disappointed.
