The food and atmosphere here are A+++. Everything our table ordered was incredible. The cafe de olla was perfect, not too sweet and right temperature. They have vegetarian options, including quesadillas de huitlacoche! They also have really great agua fresca options, including mango with chia and mango chile limón. You have to try to the queso fresco too with their house salsa. I was cheering with every bite. Can't wait to come back.

As a Mexican I can tell you that this food is garbage. Don't waste your money there, the new owners don't have any idea of how to make mexican food.... Is so upsetting to pay so much money specially during these times for this GARBAGE!!!

It was our first time back to this place since the change of new ownership. We used to come a lot when it was under Cortez ownership. Needless to say, we wanted to go somewhere local without waiting much so we decided to come back and try this place.
It was empty when we came in on a Sunday afternoon. The server was very welcoming, courteous and attentive. It was about 92 outside and inside it was nice and fresh, cool but not ice cold. There was plenty of parking ( they have a small parking lot and plenty of street parking).
We both ordered the chilaquiles, one Red and Green plate. Came with refried beans and potatoes. The portions were relatively decent sized; not too big and not too small.
They gave us homemade chips with some homemade green salsa, fidelio soup which were all good but the salsa in my opinion phenomenal. So the free entries were good.
The chips were homemade and not too hard and not saggy, not full of sodium either. The sauces and salsa are all homemade and delicious. The red and green chilaquiles salsas that this place uses were both handmade and great. The beans were delicious, the potatoes were rather hard though and in a very small portion. We enjoyed the food, definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. THEY DON’T SELL ALCOHOL……..
The prices were relatively reasonably priced. If ur local, and don’t want to go broke or wait for a ridiculous waitlist then I’d definitely recommend coming.

We were so disappointed with this restaurant. Especially since my family & I are trying to support local, small businesses. But unfortunately the food was not good at all. It was our first time here & we will not be back.
The salsa served with chips had no flavor & actually tasted a little watered down. Which was weird. The chips wete stale. My mom & I ordered the chile relleno plate. It came with rice & beans. But she also had a taco of chicarron on the side. My husband had a burrito of chicarron. They were excited to see chicarron on the menu because not many places have it. Needless to say, they couldn't wait to try it. Our plates looked good. Except for my moms taco & my husbands burrito. The chicarron on my moms taco looked very dark, almost black & it smelled burnt. It didn't look like chicarron at all. My husbands burrito was very lumpy & when he touched it. The lumps were hard. He joked, "did they put rocks in here." We were very hungry & still wanted to try our food. They couldn't eat the chicarron. It tasted very burnt like charcoal & was to hard to chew. Now my husband likes some things crispy but this was way overcooked & very dry. I wanted to taste it for myself & had to spit it out. It was just like eating a piece of charcoal & it felt like it to. The chile relleno plate also had no flavor. Even the rice & beans. There was no seasoning at all. Not even salt.
I do have to say that the cafe de olla was really good. The staff was also nice & attentive. Just really wish I could say the same about the food.
