An iconic place in La Quinta. Make sure to stay long enough to drink in the live piano music.
Absolutely one of my go-to's with my wife and when friends are in from out of town as well. The music in the bar area is great. The Ambiance is amazing, the food is really good and the variety is quite nice. The service is too notch... if you can't have fun here, you are incapable of having fun! The fact that the food is so good is icing on the cake! A great throwback in time... I can field the history the second I walk in the door! Like I said, when friends come in even if for only one night, the Sandbar is where we go!!! Looking forward to another Winter Season!!!!
First off we had a good time. Lemon Drops and Martinis from the bar 5 stars.
Clam chowder was 2 stars. If they would have called it clam broth it would be 5 stars. It tasted fantastic. It had about 6 or 8 small clam pieces and that was it. No potatoes or any type of filler. I would call it clam bisque.
I had the fried chicken. It was done perfectly, not rare or over done. Not a lot of flavor in the crust. I ate 2 out of 5 pieces. The vegetables looked fresh and the carrots were excellent. The broccoli was ice cold like it came out of the freezer and was just warmed up. I had a side of spinach that was excellent. Fresh, tasty and a great portion for the price. My wife had veal and she enjoyed it. Decent portion of veal cooked and seasoned perfectly.
We will probably return again and further explore the menu.

Melanie helped us pick out a wine that we loved! Friendly staff and even got a special dessert and song for a birthday present!! Bob was a lot of fun playing old favorites!
We arrived at 5pm and nobody was in our dining room. You would think that we would have had excellent service but hardly the case. The food was pretty good but certainly not great. Also, upon leaving, the valet attendant made a rude comment when given a tip. Clearly, the tip wasn't enough for him but unfortunately, I didn't have much cash.
Always fun. Non corporate environment with interesting clients and help. Miss Bill, but he'll be back. Food always quite decent. Love this place because it's not like machine. And then you have Michelle... the best!!!
The Sandbar: A laid-back spot perfect for beach vibes and casual dining. Known for fresh seafood, tasty cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere. Great for gatherings with friends or family. Service is friendly, and the outdoor seating adds to the fun, breezy experience. A solid choice for anyone wanting good food with a chill, coastal feel.

Its been almost a year since I visited. Food, service, and entertainment were all still worth it. The bar was a little more subdued than what I remember but still a good time.
This is a must everytime i come to the desert. My friends and I have the absolute best time when Bill Baker is performing!!!!!!
This piano bar and restaurant is a popular local spot with 60s live music Thursday through Sunday. American dishes and a full bar. No dance floor but that doesn't stop patrons from dancing.

I was really looking forward to trying this place however when we showed up, they were closed for summer! It would be great if the hours were correct in Google as that is how most people decide where to eat when visiting a new town. Especially if you are going to close for months at a time! Very frustrating and disappointing to say the least.
This was for restaurant week and we ordered from it. This was a Friday night and you really need a reservation. They have valet parking which is needed. They were very busy. They have tables, booths and high tables. They had TVs which showed the hockey game, and they had a pianist who sang and had a female join him for some songs. My husband started with the special soup of the day which turned out to be New England clam chowder. It was rich and creamy but not too thick. I had the chopped salad that was flavourful and refreshing. My husband had three pieces of fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes. We were both satisfied and happy after finishing. For dessert my husband had the Toll House pie with Ice cream and I had the fruit cobbler with ice cream. Breanna was our server and she was very efficient. Our hostess who helped us when we arrived was very kind and often checked on us to make sure we were doing well. All in all we would like to go back.
