What an amazing place for a date night out! We had the Coq Au Vin and the Steak Frites. The Coq Au Vin was fork-drop FANTASTIC! Everything that Lauren recommend was spot on. Dessert was amazing too: Chocolate Terrine for my love and the lemon pudding cake for me. Great on both counts! We’ll be back again soon.

Miserable dining experience. Our table of 9 (business dinner) seated next to father and young daughter dinner dance party. The young daughters were uncontrolled yelling and running around the other tables and interferring with the wait staff. This is not Chuckee Cheese. I checked the outdoor dining area for space and temperature, which was fine. Otherwise attentive wait staff did not offer to move our party. I scarcely hear the person seated next to me all night. On top of that, I took one bite of the crab salad and sent it back. No questions asked, replaced with excellent halibut. Overall, the food presentation and taste were fantastic. But the experience was ruined by loud uncontrolled children.

The scallops were cooked perfectly but the pasta was too thick with cream and butter so not enjoyable . “Essence” of pasta. I've enjoyed the pasta accompanying the scallops before.

On a rainy night, it was perfect to sit by the fireplace. Cozy and comfortable. The food was phenomenal. I ha a cauliflower soup with a drizle of lemon infuse EVOO an it was just perfection - just the right hint of lemon came through. For an entree I had pan seared Halibut over a risotto. The risotto was slightly spicy which was surprising and welcomed as it made it pair better with the fish. A fine night, friendly service. The only thing that lowered it to a 4 from a 5 was that they served my soup with no spoon and I had to wait for 4 or 5 minutes for a server to appear again to ask for one. I'll for sure go again.

This was a great choice for a delicious dinner before attending an evening author event at the nearby Lafayette Library and Learning Center. The ambience of the fireside room, attentive service, and delicious choices at many price points makes Metro a wonderful place for dinner with friends or romantic partner. Three of us had the inexpensive croque monsieur served with fries and green salad and a glass of wine- perfect dinner. Metro has also always accommodated my food allergies, always appreciated.

Metro Lafayette has been our go-to for special occasions. We hadn't been there since the pandemic, and being that it was my birthday yesterday, I thought it would be the perfect time to return. I could not have been more wrong. Our waiter treated us like we were an afterthought. It was as if my husband telling him it was by birthday made him want to pay less attention to us. We ordered our drinks and the dungeness crab salad to share. The salad came almost immediately. We had to wait for our drinks. I thought we would have the same experience as couples around us who sipped on their drinks and chatted for a while, then came their appetizers and salad. Another couple sat down and were served water almost immediately. We had to look around and find a busboy to ask for water. We finished our drinks before the main course came. Our waiter was no where to be seen to ask if we'd like something else. Usually from my memory of Metro the waiter comes by to see how we're doing, and then we would order a glass of wine. He didn't show up until the end of meal and asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. I couldn't wait to get out of there so we declined. Normally we tip 20% but this time we only tipped 15.% Metro used to be one of my favorite restaurants because of the food AND the service. It was discouraging and sad to be treated this way on my birthday. It will be quite some time before we give Metro another try.

Lovely dinner for four at a fireside table. Cuisine is well-executed California/American. One of us enjoyed the array of liquors, especially the Weller bourbon, apparently a rare bar sighting. Food was all delicious - crab salad, spicy meatballs, Thai chicken salad, chef salad, oysters and a sole plate. Food quality is much better than this reviewer recalls in years past. Really enjoyable evening.
