My friends and I are staying here, and this evening we stepped out for a stroll by the ocean. We were feeling a bit peckish and wanted to make sure we had an interesting evening. We popped into our hotel lobby—and, as it turns out, there was live music playing! That’s right, folks: apparently, they have music here every single day. The atmosphere is actually very pleasant, and the music itself is excellent. We had a truly wonderful time. We weren't hungry, so we didn't order any food; they simply brought us some water while we sat back and enjoyed the music, along with the magnificent view of the ocean from the hotel balcony. I’ve held more informal client meetings in this room than I can count, and the environment does serious work. Floor-to-ceiling windows, live piano, Pacific Ocean from every angle — it sets a tone before you say a word. For a first meeting with a high-net-worth buyer or a quiet debrief after a property tour in Laguna Beach, the Lobby Lounge at Montage is unmatched in South County. The service level is consistent with what the property commands. If you want a space that communicates caliber without being overbearing, this is the benchmark.

I’m a local to Laguna and there’s nothing like stopping in at the Montage lobby bar. The entrance is spectacular with stunning ocean views. Cocktails are perfectly balanced and never too harsh or too light. Service is always outstanding. Just overall a memorable experience every visit.

We had the best experience with Sadie at the Montage! She was so sweet, attentive, and honestly made us feel so comfortable the entire time. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests because she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her recommendations were spot on, and she was super friendly without ever being pushy. Thanks to her, our time here felt extra special.

My friends, Diane, Terry, Carol and myself had an amazing experience at the Montage Lobby Lounge on Saturday afternoon, 4/5. Not only did we enjoy the fabulous desserts and Champagne, the staff were also very friendly/welcoming, Keyvon and the team, took excellent care of us and the view was gorgeous. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and we all agreed that our experience was unforgettable. We also spoke with Ben Goldfarb, a manager, he was great and contributed greatly to our 5 star experience. To top off our afternoon, we strolled down to the walking path above the beach and took in more of an up close ocean view.
We will share this experience with our friends and we all plan to return, to possibly treat ourselves to high tea or just relax in the lobby, have some drinks, snacks and enjoy the view. Thank you for helping to make our day so special!
Had a good time at the lobby lounge. They have a good cocktail and wine menu. Asked for house wine and got hit with a $43 per glass tab…it was indeed excellent wine but maybe the staff and I share very different definitions of “house wine”

Horrible. Anna was the worst waitress we have ever had. She took forever to wait on us. When she finally did she promised us waters and snacks. Never did see the snacks after being promised them 3x. Never got a refill on the water I finally got. As soon as she set our drinks down she was asking how we wanted to pay. Ran 2 of our cards and claimed they wouldn’t work asking us to pay cash. Wouldn’t give us any type of reciept. It was the oddest experience. Never again. So sad. Was hoping to return for brunch, but we will go elsewhere.

Each of the appetizers on the menu was very tasteless... one of them was 2 raw asparagus cut into thin strips - disgusting, then we ordered tuna tartare which was also terrible and we left it at that. The service was arrogant!!! Nice place, beautiful view, unfortunately not the rest
