The place is beautiful and the lounge is comfortable and inviting. We sat at the bar and our bartender (Isabel) made the most fantastic Martinis I think we have ever had. Very enjoyable evening with the piano music and atmosphere. They comp't our parking and the Valet had kept my vintage Corvette up by the entrance and it was waiting at the door when we walked out. We were made to feel very special.

I've always had a great experience coming here. But today a lady (not sure if she was waitress or what) who worked there was very rude. I was with family planning to stay and enjoy the music but I left after her rudeness. She had red bows on her hair, don't remember her name. Merry Christmas! Thank you!

This review is for the seasonal afternoon tea service. We made reservations a few weeks in advance and showed up on a Sunday in December to celebrate our anniversary. The afternoon tea is in the lobby bar area. First impression was that it's casual and there was no host stand where you get greeted so you kind of have to chase down one of the servers which is a little awkward. Once they were ready for us they asked us our seat preference which included some lounge couch chairs with coffee tables and some regular sized tables. The live piano was a highlight and the pianist was excellent playing Christmas themed music as well as some newer hits.We started off with some complimentary champagne which was a pleasant surprise. The tea selection was decent. I went with the vanilla almond soufflé flavor which I highly recommend. For food we were served a tower of bite sized sandwiches. The highlight was the lobster roll. Next arrived the sweets tower. The scones were very good and paired well with the fresh strawberry jam. I was really surprised not to find any chocolate flavored pastries which I would expect to be a standard. One of the sweets was a yuzu flavored lollipop which I wasn't a fan of since yuzu is not a flavor I prefer.Service was friendly and valet was free with validation. After out afternoon tea we went for a walk on the grounds which I recommend to enjoy the ocean views from one of the benches by the paved walkway.

The view is nice but service was none. Sitting there for 30 mins and Boone came by to take our offer. End up ordering drinks at the bar and a bus boy came by to take our orders and gave us the check. For the price they charged, I would take my money and go somewhere else.

I thought that I had experienced hospitality prior to my stay at the Montage and my drinks at the Lobby Lounge. I was mistaken. I have felt more loved and at home at the Montage, and Lobby Lounge, than I have in my entire life. The staff here is the absolute best in the world, bar none. The level at which this staff operates is truly a blessing to be able to behold. Everyone was the absolute pinnacle of service, however, Sadie and Kris went above and beyond my wildest expectations. The warmth and hospitality that these employees provided was something I didn't even know existed in this world. I just got back from St. John a week ago, and that didn't have a damn thing on the staff here. This is the best bar in the world, with the best staff in the world, with the most lovingly crafter cocktails and conversation in the world. Bar none. I will frequent this establishment until the day I die. I'm personally agnostic, but GOD BLESS the staff at the Lobby Lounge and the entire staff of the Montage. Changed my life.

I've joined large groups of people several times here and it's a beautiful place, facing the ocean and a great place for relaxing around sunset time. The wine list is full of amazing wines from all over the world. You'll find a selection of teas (cold or hot) and cocktails, all of which are delicious. The food options are limited here, but we enjoyed and shared the cheese platter and the charcuterie sliced meats, which were served with nuts, olives and honey. Great selections here. The Lobby Lounge isn't really connected to the lobby, but has a bar at one end and a wonderful pianist playing live music. A very elegant and relaxing vibe. Service was slow on the summer day we visited, but the venue was packed, so that's understandable. Valet parking is comped if you dine or drink here.
Had a beautiful high tea experience here! I'd highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing afternoon tea to come here :) as the service + aesthetic is lovely & every tea + food item was delicious (especially the scones)!

The most beautiful views in a decadent atmosphere. Perfectly made cocktails- favs were the espresso martini and sea smoke. Snacks like the salmon tartare are elegantly presented and delish (as all food at the montage is!) The pianist creates a fun vibe playing everything from classical music to Toto!
The food was not fresh, seems like it was ordered from a bakery and brought in. There were too many sweets and not enough savories at the tea. Tea was not refreshed after it got cold. It was $500 for three people to have what amounted to half a sandwich each and too many stale sweets.

Ukrainian cocktail waitress offered us free champagne for making us wait for a 16-person party to place their orders and get their drinks, and then renegged when we asked her to cash in on the offer…like why even say anything in the first place
