Some friends and I wanted to check this place out for drinks with scenic views before dinner. The hostess was absolutely amazing and friendly. The bar staff somewhat off putting but they made the drinks correctly. Once we were seated at our table we didn't get service for nearly 30 minutes. Then after that initial interaction we didn't see our waitress again until we were leaving. She was aware of us as she was assisting all the other tables next to us.
We loved the food , the sunset, the vibe, and the music.
Service and food is great, as is the view particularly at sunset, but what drives my lower review is the dishonesty on their menu. We ordered what the menu says is a "pitcher" of Sangria, to be served a carafe. You can buy by the glass at $16 or a pitcher for $55, but when you are served a carafe it doesn't serve the same. This is especially important for groups of folks thinking they will be served a pitcher of sangria.
Disappointing they cannot be honest in their menu.

Food was typical bar food, some was elevated... the service was not so good. First round of drinks after order was 20 min, second round after waiting 40 min, we canceled. Had to ask for water 3 times before 3 glasses came, 2 with ice, one without (weird they didn't notice that while walking or setting down)... we drove from Riverside to try it out, was disappointed.

Really fun rooftop lounge with a nice view of the ocean. Great place to grab a drink and some lite food and watch the sunset.
It can get a bit noisy and a little crowded during their busy time so be mindful of that. Also parking is a pain so build in some extra time and plan on walking a block or two.

Food was ok, not authentic ceviche but the tapas were good portions. Amazing view of the sunset and staff were attentive.

We sat outside and have a beautiful view of the sunset while eating some delicious appetizers. Next time we want the tequila tower.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. We went 30 mins prior to sunset. The views were unreal. Highly recommended on bored alone. AND The food was incredible. Service was good but a tad bit slow. However, our server was handling most the restaurant so maybe they were a little short staffed. It didn’t take away from our food, views or overall experience. Our waiter was very helpful with the menu too. His recommendation didn’t disappoint.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Rooftop in Laguna Beach, and it was nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere was perfect, with stunning ocean views and a laid-back vibe that made for an incredible evening. The real highlight of the night, though, was the stellar service from the bartenders, Luke and Christian (hope I spelled that right!).
These two are masters at their craft—experienced, knowledgeable, and quick to whip up some seriously impressive cocktails. Not only did they know their liquor inside and out, but they also hooked us up with some custom drinks that were off the charts. You can tell they love what they do, and it made the whole experience that much better.
If you’re ever in Laguna Beach, do yourself a favor and stop by The Rooftop. Ask for Luke or Christian, and you won’t be disappointed!

Been here over dozens of times in the past 10 years when the place was called k’ya bistro. We like the shared plates format. $20 for a 6 oz glass of an OK Cabernet is a complete rip-off!

Staff is and has always been friendly. The new chairs and menu are a disaster. They no longer have that wonderful burger with the bacon jam. The new pineapple marrianated skirt steak skewers don't even have pineapple. Just three half skewers and the meat wasn't even cut the right direction. The chairs stick out like a sore thumb are uncomfortable and will leave a disturbing pattern on bare legs. I guess it's time to explore other roof tops.

We chose the Caesar salad, cheeseburger sliders and mojoto and beer. Overall everything was good. The fried onions with the cheeseburger were cold, but maybe that's how it should be here. The salad was delicious. We are fans of Caesar salad and have eaten better ones.
The service was very friendly and polite and did their job well. The view is really great. Here you can beautifully watch the sunset.
Thanks.

The food might be awesome but the margarita tree was offensive. If there was catagory for drinks I would give this place a zero for margaritas. The patron tree idea is very cool, too bad the margaritas are clearly made with premade sugary/sour mix that totally ruins the flavor of a good tequila. We actually left most of the drinks and walked out puckering our lips.
All that said, fantastic view and good vibe. Give it a try you might love it! But if a craft made marg with fresh ingredients is your thing then don’t bother .
