We were seated at the last table before the kitchen. This table is extremely hot from the heat of the kitchen. Food and service were both mediocre. I was shocked considering all the positive reviews.
Disappointing....the waiter did not have it together at all. Too many incidents to list but it was not a pleasant experience. The high point was the food which was delicious but it was not the kind of meal that warranted a meal lasting over 2hrs due to a waiter being disorganized and disengaged with the guests.
Salerno's is a treasure in downtown Laguna Beach. The little sister of the larger popular Alyssa on Forest Avenue with equally great food, cozier ambiance, attentive wait staff. Can't recommend it more highly.
