Studio at Montage was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, the entrance and the walk in are framed by sweeping ocean views and palm trees that instantly set a serene, elevated tone. The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was stellar. I had the steel fish, and the lamp chops were unbelievably delicious—truly unforgettable. An all-around 10/10, and I look forward to returning again soon.

I took my husband to Studio Mediterranean for Valentines. The staff were very nice, friendly, attentive, and professional. The food and wine were excellent and exquisite. Over all , everyone and everything was superb. We enjoyed every moment. The person playing the piano had a voice like Tony Bennett.

Wonderful experience from start to finish! Attentive service without being intrusive. Personal cafe lamp made for a cozy outdoor dining experience, even on a cool February evening. Would highly recommend getting an earlier seating and asking for an outdoor table. Don't be bashful about joining the crowd hurrying to the back lawn to capture the stunning sunset. The dishes impressed across all 3 courses as well. Try the grilled dates and tiger prawns to start and the sticky toffee pavlova for dessert!

Unfortunately, this wasn't the experience we expected and we won't be returning. It was Valentine's weekend and our reservation was at 8:30pm, so I understand it had likely been a long day for the team. That said, the attentiveness seemed depleted by the time we were seated. Although there were multiple open tables with better views as the restaurant was winding down for the night, we were placed in the middle of the room and those tables remained vacant. It felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the experience. Service was the biggest disappointment. After taking our order, our server was largely absent, and the overall attentiveness simply didn't match the price point. For a restaurant at this level, expectations are higher. We had dined at The Broadway the night before and the contrast in service, engagement, and overall experience was significant. I truly wanted this to be the highlight of the weekend, but unfortunately it fell short.

The restaurant and location was perfect with ocean view. Perfect sunset , food was amazing. Service was immaculate. Highly recommended for anyone who's looking for a romantic dinner set up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We got engaged here 21 years ago. Last night was also my wife's birthday. I asked for and we got the best table and had a fabulous and memorable 4-hour dining experience! Cecil was awesome and shared his culinary experiences with us, which was super fun. Joshua chose the perfect bottle of wine that paired nicely with our entree's. Deserts were perfect as well. Can't wait to go back, Studio is the bomb!

Started off with a bang have best creative and flavor of drinks. Salad and apps were amazing. Entrees took one hour and think they ran out of sized scallops so an employee probably bought scallops from nearby store. They were not the large size as described by the server. Portion of the entrees were smaller than the apps. The lamb chops were very thin and there only three chops. So our experience ended with a whimper. The Studio was much more elegant before remodel and now feels and looks like an upscale Marriott! All white interior with tile floors felt very cheep and vanilla. The bar has lost the special vibe it used to have. We are local in Laguna Beach and lived there for over 20 years. Really too bad they have lost the magical vibe they used to have. We will not go again.

Our evening at Studio Mediterranean at Montage Laguna Beach felt less like dinner and more like being gently carried through a Mediterranean dream. Flavors were bright, balanced, and deeply satisfying—nothing overstated, everything intentional. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the care behind every plate. What truly made the evening unforgettable was how effortlessly it all came together: the food, the setting, the rhythm of the meal, and the quiet luxury of feeling completely taken care of. It was romantic without trying to be, refined without pretension, and memorable in the way the best experiences always are—by making you wish time would slow just a little longer. We ended our special evening with an informative and engaging conversation with the general manager, Cecil. Studio Mediterranean isn't just a place to eat; it's a place to linger, connect, and savor. We left already planning our return.

The spanakopita salad is one of the best salads I've ever eaten. The homemade pistachio ice cream with baklava was absolutely delicious. I want to go back for those two items! Definitely a FAN!!

Every dish was delicious. Our server Yumi was absolutely delightful. The ocean and hillside view was definitely a plus.

Standing ovation for Chef Dennis and his amazing staff who makes dream meals a reality. From start to finish, this whole experience was delectable. From meze to main courses, we ate til we (thought) we could eat no more! Until... DESSERT. Don't miss out on the sweet treats at the end. Worth every calorie. We can't wait to come back and this time I'm bringing friends to ensure we can order the whole menu!

Pre-Covid when we lived in Newport Coast, we used to go to Studio when we wanted a fine dining experience in a beautiful ocean front setting. The setting is still beautiful, but the Studio experience is nothing like it was or what it should be. We have dined at many Michelins rated restaurants worldwide, and so do not mind spending the money for an amazing meal and experience, and with the prices now being charged at Studio, had high expectations. We had the octopus starter which was excellent. However, their 'market price' fresh fish was a huge disappointment. First, the price is by the pound, and you are charged for the whole fish. The size ranged from under two pounds for the dorado, to up to 3 lbs. or more for some of the other options. This means paying almost $300 for only the fish if you want the Dover sole. While it is splitable, it is still ridiculously overpriced for a simply grilled entre with no accompaniments whatsoever. We ordered the Dorado which at 1.7 lbs. was a more reasonable $80 plus dollars. They serve the whole fish, and you have the option of having the head and tail removed before serving. We were fine leaving the head and tail, anticipating that at a restaurant of this level, the server would serve the fish for you. But no, they simply delivered the whole fish to the table and began to walk away. We requested the server come to the table and plate it for us. We travel extensively and do a lot of fine dining. We've never experienced a restaurant simply dropping off the fish and walking away. We each ended up with what I would consider a small portion of fish compared to what you expect from a nearly two-pound fish. We ordered the potatoes as our side which were very tasty, but again not worth the price. Our server was very pleasant, but the experience is nothing like what they were known for at Studio or even what we would expect at a fine dining establishment. We will not be back.
