New year...no more Porchbox? Well kind of. Apparently the store format has recently changed. You are no longer able to stop by for a meal; you have to pre-order and pick up food to reheat as a meal prep style. I used to like having a fresh and impromptu picnic with my family, grabbing food here then eating it at the nearby Dinosaur Park. But that can't happen anymore with the new format since it has to be planned ahead and reheated later. We don't live nearby so this doesn't work for us. Super bummed because the food is good and makes me feel like I am making healthy choices! We will miss Porchbox. I hope some day they might return to regular dining. I can only imagine this was a decision to reduce food waste or enhance the availability of the freshest ingredients or something. We always had great meals and friendly service here.

What a lovely late lunch experience. Visiting family and arrived late looking for a bite to eat after a long drive. This was perfect, I love the concept of the box, and I ordered the recommended pulled pork (on gluten free bun) with 3 sides (spiced green beans, roasted carrots, seasonal salad). I thought everything was delicious. All the dishes had a home made quality to it which I adored. Vegetables tasted fresh (although carrots and beans were a bit over charred IMO, but the flavor was still yummy). The dressings and sauces complimented their respective dishes. I loved the gluten free bun as it was served warm, and the dough was light and fluffy. If I'm back in the area again I'll definitely be back.

We did Door dash for pick up. I personally didn't care for the spicy sauce on the spicy green beans so if I order them again I'd get just the green beans, BUT that's a personal preference. The turkey pot pie was good especially because it was dairy free and I don't usually get to have dairy free pot pie. My family was impressed with the mashed potatoes. If you order a Bite Box it is a single side and a main. The Single Box requires three sides, which is a lot even too much food for lunch or a light dinner. (We were ordering online on DoorDash for the first time so we were confused about how to order just one side and one main but we eventually figured it out.) It was a good healthy lunch and I appreciated that they do dairy free food quickly. After the initial mix up when I picked up the other day, the owner reached out to make it right which I really appreciated. I picked up the replacement boxes today and everything looked great. The staff was friendly and apologetic. I did get the option of trying different boxes but I stuck with my original order. If you're looking for comfort food without the fuss, check out PorchBox in Laguna Hills for the perfect meal when you're too busy to cook. The boxes are customizable if you have dietary restrictions and you can preorder in advance. Otherwise, stop in and they will put together something hot for you.

Tastes like nursing home cafeteria food.Went here around 3:40pm, maybe it was the time of day.The items I got were slimey chicken, clammy green beans, runny polenta and a lukewarm salad.

1st time here and I ordered a Loaded Mac & Cheese. It was really good. The portions are great for the price. They also cater trays or single boxes as well. Definitely would come back. Amanda was very helpful and answered any questions I had.

While there are not many vegan items (lots of vegetarian though) the customer service is amazing. I ordered off the vegan menu not knowing you need to specify. They were super accommodating and kind about making the change! The was so good and they even carry locally made items for sale! Will be back for sure!

We stopped by chance waiting in between soccer games... I was extremely impressed. We found something for everyone. My teenager, my 7 yo and my husband. We all got different things. Both kids loved the pulled pork sandwich. The lemon herb roast chicken was enough meat for my Husband and I. we all tried everyone's Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, seasonal salad and corn bread. Our favorite was the chicken pot pie. Wish we had one close to us!

My brother and I wandered in here randomly one day last week for lunch. The staff was so nice and the food was incredible! They serve everything in these brown boxes, so it's so easy to transport. Great to dine in, but we'll be back next time for take-out.
