California Pizza Kitchen at Laguna Niguel

Good food and great service, very friendly.

My personal anecdotal research shows when I tip for take home, I get a big enough portion to last 2 days (if I order pasta). If I dont tip I get much smaller portion (you are paying when ordering take out IN ADVANCE so they know if youve tipped before meal is made). This has happened enough times that I dont think it is random.
I think it stinks that these restaurants (and this is now a pervasive custom among all restaurants) expect us to pay a tip for picking up take out. During covid I didn't mind as I was happy to support all restaurants that were open. Now its 4 years later and I find this practice offensive.
I've never eaten inside so cant comment on atmosphere.
Also very stingy on the bread. Smallest pieces I've ever seen.

Was horrible service the guy came to the table once never refilled drinks, never asked if we needed anything.. food was ok , but it came to Payne the bill. He just threw the thing at us and walked away and never said thanks for coming in. Have a good night. Nothing just a really rude guy…

Ordered side of grilled chicken breast from here recently and it was watery and very weird. Couldn’t eat entire thing. Did not look Right

We’ve been here 6 times and every time we order a pizza is comes to the table lukewarm! If you want a pizza that’s hot and bubbly this is not the place for you.

California Pizza Kitchen consistently delivers an excellent dining experience. The customer service was prompt, genuinely friendly, and very attentive without being intrusive. The food, as always, was flavorful, fresh, and prepared to a high standard, reflecting the quality the brand is known for. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere as well—it was welcoming, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed meal. Give it a try—you won’t regret it. Highly recommended.

Great service, food came out very quickly with little to no problems. The food was pretty good and the pizzas were well cooked. Nice atmosphere and vibe to the restaurant itself as well. If you’re planning to go somewhere with a large party this is the perfect place, spacious and usually has room.

I love coming here with my friends to relax and get some food after work. Hailey has been our server on plenty of occasions and is always great, friendly, and checks in. We appreciate her especially when it’s busy and she’s still making sure we’re taken care of.
