When you state you close at 9:00 p.m., then you better closet at 9:00 p.m., not 8:30 p.m.
Upon entering the restaurant at 8:25 p.m., we were told we had to order right away as last call was at 8:30 p.m. That’s ridiculous.
If you advertise that you close at 9:00 p.m., that means your last call is at 9:00 p.m. not 8:30 p.m. I therefore changed their hours to reflect the proper closing times because the supervisor claimed to not know how to update their Google Business listing.
As for the sushi, it is decent; but it is not worth the ignominy of having to rush your order because employees do not want to work a full shift, or get out early. I heard of speed dating; but speed eating is not what consumers want to do for a Friday night date.
Update your hours to reflect the actual hours you serve. Do not misrepresent or mislead consumers as to your hours or the quality of your food or service.
While my lovely wife was willing to make it about the dessert, that was not the point. You can try to bribe patrons with dessert to overcome complaints, but it’s the authenticity of the food and the level of service that matters.
A supervisor tried to placate our complaints; but to no avail. False advertising is just that: false advertising. We spent $120.00 for 30 minutes of service and were then looked at as though we were overstaying our visit as the clock struck 9:00 p.m.
What was more offensive: the server just dropped a check like we were at a deli. To endure terrible service in addition to false representations regarding hours is patently offensive and disingenuous. Fail.
I can get better service at the Asian Market and not feel compelled to tip.
Freshest sushi I’ve had in a while!!!

I visited this sushi restaurant for the first time after reading positive reviews, and I was eager to try it. When we arrived, the place was packed, but we quickly got on the waitlist and were seated shortly after. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the service was outstanding; they took our orders and brought the plates promptly.
We ordered a seaweed salad, baked scallops, and three rolls: the Dragon, BSC, and Deep Dead Sea. While the presentation was nice, we found that all the dishes were quite sweet, as if sugar had been added. This was a unanimous sentiment among our group.
Another aspect we didn't enjoy was that the eel and scallops were baked separately from the sushi. As a result, the sushi was served cold while the toppings were hot, which created an awkward combination.
Overall, the service was fast, and the staff were pleasant, but the sushi itself was average compared to what I've experienced elsewhere, especially given the sweetness. I have definitely had better sushi without the added sugar.

Killer rolls and terrific sashimi. My fav is the “to Die for” roll. We go just for those, then we end up getting several other rolls. 👍

Lovely atmosphere with no unpleasant odors like in many sushi places, and the staff was very attentive. The food is fresh and delicious , though adding photos to the menu could enhance the experience.

Solid American style sushi spot (think rolls and not sit at the sushi bar for nigiri), with ample seating and good service, I would say it's one of the better ones in Laguna Niguel. It's pretty much always busy. It's reasonably priced and has a wide variety of non-sushi items as well. My kids love the salmon teriyaki bowl.

The on cloud nine roll is an interesting combination of flavors. There were a lot going on, but it works! The baked mussels and the crispy rice are also good flavor profile, but a bit messy to eat.

There was one in San Clemente so we followed them here once they left. Still the best and delicious. Get the veggie tempura, veggie hand rolls and they never let you down.

They leave their doors open while they’re closed and then make you feel dumb for walking in thinking they’re open. It’s frustrating because if you’re closed, you should have your doors closed. I clocked out for break because your doors were open and I walked over only to be turned away. Now I’m wasting my only break because they can’t close their doors while closed.
